Dr. Austin is such a good dude, very easy going. He gets it. If he is ever giving a test he always has a review day and that's where he tells you exactly what you need to know to do good. Over all highly recommended to make your semester, I have taken him three times and wish I could take more! Plus he is absolutely HILARIOUS. Love this guy

Even though I took this class for credit/interest, I'd gladly take another class with this professor simply due to how well they teach and make the information simple to understand. He would give us situations and then and we write what we'd do in that circumstance for participation. Gets a Chilly Pepper due to simply being an amazing human being.

Best professor I've ever taken. Professor Austin is very straight forward and his lectures are very interesting. He always tries to bring in new concepts for us to think about and he's usually successful in changing our perspectives. His exams are simple as long as you study his material. I've taken him 3 times already and I wish there was a 4th.

Austin is an awesome dude, I've had 2 classes with him, EGL216 and PHI105, both were fantastic. He's a brilliant teacher who is fair with all his students. PHI105 can be rough but pay attention and take notes and you'll be fine. He means what he says with his rules, but he is a hell of a funny guy. 100% would recommend and would take again

Took him for EGL 102 and loved it ! Did very good in his class. Super easy if you do the work ! He's very nice, just show up on time and read your summary in class. Gives you 5 absences which is great!

He's one of the best professors in this school, plain and simple. He's a very understanding person. His lectures are always very interesting and he's never one to bore the class. His lectures are usually pretty short. His test aren't hard, you're almost guaranteed an A if you review the notes. He lets you have 5 unexcused absences as well.

Prof Austin is a great teacher to have. Nice older guy and allows a fair amount of absences. You cant possibly do bad in his class unless you show up once a month. Tests are straight forward and he gives you the exact material on the test. His lectures aren't boring either he keeps you listening. Don't be rude in his class he wont like that

He's a very good professor when he decides to have class. Cancels a lot of them. Overall he makes you think about certain things and wants to hear people's viewpoints. Tests are somewhat tough, but you just have to memorize what he says and review your notes.

Dr. Austin is by far my favorite professor, I've never learned so much in a class before and it was because of his very genuine style of teaching. Gives very clear instruction and notes, TELLS YOU EVERYTHING that will be on a test and often lets class out early. Very insightful and well educated. Take him if you can.

Cool teacher. Had him for creative writing. No tests at all. Have to make a 10 page folder for the midterm and a 10 page folder for the final on your own "creative" writing stories. Everyone also has to read something in front of the class. He gives homework that you will read the next day in class, so do the homework!!

No hidden questions, very straight forward..Don't know how anyone can say anything bad about him, he is great. I can't believe anyone would have something negative to say about Dr. Austin. I had him 3x, I loved him, he gives GREAT REVIEWS for his tests, probably the best test reviews I have ever seen from any teacher. Sure he cancels class sometimes, but why is that bad??? Who doesn't appreciate an extra day off? Highly recommend him :oD

Terrible professor! Always absent and barely teaches his students! He is beyond full of himself. He is an extremely harsh grader for a professor who teaches his students nothing. I have learned/taken away nothing from his class at all. I suggest staying away from his classes and finding a professor who actually cares about their students.

He's a great professor if you listen to what he says you will learn a lot and get an A guaranteed. Hardly takes attendance, Hardly uses textbook, never gives HW besides studying for the 3-4 exams per semester. Take notes study them you will get an A. Besides that what a cool guy, brilliant mind and a musician. Highly recommend!
