He was a very nice old man. If you are well- liked by him then that can make the class easier (he loves the students who sit in front) Lectures are pretty boring but easy to follow. LOTS of handouts most are unimportant. However, even if you do well in the class and go every day, the tests are VERY hard. Average test grade in my class was about 50

Nice guy, however the tests are very hard and is over random facts from lecture. He curves the tests. Gives A LOT of handouts. Don't buy the book it's a waste of money. Be careful of due dates he changes them randomly. Lectures are boring but if you go to all of them your grade gets bumped up half a letter. Take the class with a different professor

Go to every class and he'll boost your grade by half a point. Speeches and tests are not hard and he's the nicest man ever. Really nice to have a conversation with, he's really smart and has a lot of life experience. Definitely recommend taking public speaking with him. Also you don't have to buy a textbook!!

Assignments are very straight forward, 4 speeches and 4 tests. He is very generous on the speech grades. The test questions do not make sense and are just based off of insignificant topics that were discussed, however there is always a big curve. Also, he adds half a letter grade for perfect attendance, its nearly impossible due to how boring it is

Don't bother buying the book, he uses (useless) handouts. Stickler for attendance. Inserts unnecessaryinappropriate details of his personal life, sensitive topics (religion, politics) into class, even puts some into his tests. Lectures are dry and BORING, could not engage the class unless he forced it. DO NOT TAKE THIS OR ANY CLASS WITH HIM!

This past semester all tests were not open book. The questions he asked had little to nothing to do with our curriculum and focused on frivolous class discussions. Use the outline he gives for speeches and you should do okay. He's helpful in office hours.

Very nice man. Always helpful when you need it. Grades extremely easy. Open book quizzes and finals. He assigns 3 speeches(personal, informative, and persuasive) and they are all easily graded.

Very easy grader. 3 tests straight from the text, but very easy. Just the chapters once and you'll get an A. Grades speeches easy. He is extremely boring though, he will go on tangents all class period about his life. You get an extra half letter grade for attending all the classes. This is a chore because of how brutally boring the class is though

Great professor. Always there to help you out with anything. Very understanding about problems with getting work in ontime. Journals were time consuming but they were very easy. Class was very interesting and he's just an amazing professor here, probably one of the best!
