Florence is one of my favorite professors at CCC. He is very engaging and and fun. He understands that life can interfere with school sometimes and is willing to work with you, he really wants you to succeed. I learned a lot about writing in this class as well, honestly more that I did in WR121 and WR122 and this school.

If you haven't taken any of bills Jnl classes, add a class now, especially if you are a student at chemeketa reading this now. Because word from bill is that spring 2015 will be the last of that department for the foreseeable future. Cool, funny guy, there for u when you need him and the classroom reflects off that as well. Starting out, I thought he was great. Now, all it is is a babysitting class. A bunch of kids who need a good grade just talk over the teacher the entire class and he won't do anything about it. Good teacher, but I didn't learn a single thing about journalism. He will email you an assignment 2-3 hours before class and expect it to be read/done.

Mr. Florence is easily one of my favorite teachers at Chemeketa. He is incredibly smart, and makes class a blast. He is always cracking jokes, or throwing out random trivia which only adds to the awesomeness of the class. I would highly recommend the class, or any class he teaches.

Mr. Florence is the GREATEST! He makes you want to learn. He is engaging and funny. I have taken all of his classes except advertising and loved every minute. I would recommend his classes to everyone! He is very knowledgable in all aspects of journalism and useless trivia. The main requirement is that you laugh at his jokes. Florence RULES!!!

He's a great teacher and you will learn a lot in his classes. He will make you learn whether you want to or not! His classes are fun and he engages the whole class. He might seem intimidating at first because he's kind of "in your face", but when you get to know him, you'll see that he's very kind and compassionate. A++

Florence is okay. He has favorites and that's very apparent. The biggest issue is the fact that in Pub Lab someone is always screaming at someone else, and he does nothing about it. It makes the atmosphere very uncomfortable, especially for new Journalism students who might not be part of the 'clique' that exists there.
