Very interesting lecturer, can be dull at times, but has good content. Gibson has been all over the world and has so many stories, quite a character. Just show up and do the work, its never anything that takes more than 30 minutes and you'll get an A. Just do it.

Gibson is awesome. I took global realities with him and the class is easily possible while still learning quality info. He basically gives you the test beforehand. Just put forth the effort and do the assignments and you'll get an A. Very knowledgeable.

Dr. Gibson is great. He s so laid back and has a lot of knowledge on the subjects we cover in class. He has a great sense of humor and grades fairly. He is not a stickler on attendance but he does notice if you miss a few classes. He pays attention to his students and lets us think for ourselves. It is nice to see a teacher that isn't so demanding

Many of the younger profs at VW are so engergetic,talking and moving constantly.After a few semester of this style, Dr. Gibsons laid back style is refreshing and allows students to think for moment instead of belting out answers.It is amazing how in depth you can learn at such a slow pace. His stories can get old, but there is a message there.

Oh, you all who complain about his stories are a bunch of idiots. We'd all do well to hear more stories from people smarter than ourselves...that's what we're paying for. I really liked his class, and he's funny and a nice guy in general. He thinks he's a grump but his students love him. If you're not a total retard, I recommend his class.

Now that I am in graduate school, I must say that I miss Dr. Gibson's classes. He was always in a good mood and had a story to tell (even if it wasn't related.) This man is a goldmine of information...if you can get to it, of course. I highly recommend his classes. He is intelligent and has a lot to offer if you can deal with him going off-track.

Really laid back, very funny. He can get off topic, but it's always interesting. I agree with the poster who said he grades harder than you'd think, so be sure you prepare for tests. One of the most interesting and fun teachers I've ever had. Also very honest and blunt, which is refreshing.

Well, Gibson is a nice guy. Grades harder than I would think given his easy going demeanor, but overall is a fair teacher. Tells a lot of stories and rambles a lot....I always wonder what the point of the lecture was at the end of each class.
