Goffe is a good professor, but the "experimental" setup of the course was not my cup of tea. The structuring was really the only issue I had. Relies heavily on the textbook with minimal lecturing. Student discussion and quizzes serve to teach students. If you learn better through lectures, do not take a course with him.

Goffe's a good professor. It's tough material but he teaches pretty well and you can tell he cares. Read the assigned chapters before the quizzes and read all of the articles he puts online before the exams and you should do fine. I'd recommend him.

He is a really good teacher. Class is very hard but he teaches well. No attendance grade but if you dont go to class you will fail. Makes class interesting. Use textbook a lot. Really good teacher. Take this class with him. Don't bring a laptop to class, show up late, or leave early he will get really mad.

1 of my favorite teachers at Oswego! He loves to teach and you learn a lot from the class. He goes out of his way to help you understand something you don't get and answers all of your questions! I wasn't very interested in the class when I signed up for it but now it was one of my favorites!

He gives you a quiz on the material before he teaches it to you, but he tells you what Chapter the quiz will be on and if you read it, the quizzes are really easy. Very fair grader and his tests are simple. He gives you 6 free points on the test if you say what the hardest question was. You can leave 2 questions blank.

He is really a nice guy and has a heart in teaching students. You could feel that through all his emails and preparation for class. I studied average 3 hours a week and got an A- in this class. Not bad. All you have to do is to follow his pace and instructions. you could really learn something in this course.

Didn't take ECO 101 so some of the class was a bit difficult to understand. Overall the professor is good and passionate about the subject but has a hard time keeping anyone interested in the class. The tests are very challenging but the quizzes aren't too bad.

Very interested in the subject area. I have never met a professor so devoted to teaching methodology, he is constantly seeking the most effective means of instruction. In my course he used group-work (which made learning so much more fun and easy!). Yet, grades were oriented so individual performance weighs evenly with group work-Strongly recommend

VERY hard professor. Great guy and really helpful and interested in the subject, but the class is really hard. Aplia sucks too. I studied my ass off for the tests and did not do well on the tests. You really, really need to study his slides and understand all the graphs, which I didn't. I also didn't take ECO101 beforehand.

His tests are really hard. Like I knew eco and did really well in 100 level but this class was much harder. STUDY and know every. little. detail from his online slides. He counts the final as your whole grade if you get a high mark. And the final is fair (not easy, but not impossible). If you have to take this class... good luck

Great professor! He does make examples of people texting, talking, or not paying attention and it's pretty fun to watch. If you're in class, don't be an idiot. What are you here for? Compared to ECO 101, this class is a breeze. He has a great teaching style and is a very friendly and helpful guy. Hour and twenty minutes goes fast. RECOMMENDED.

Goffe is a really good teacher, but when he is put into a class of 300 kids its hard to really show it. The class would be easier if it's in a smaller setting. I recommend goffe if in small class size. Online quizzes, clicker questions, and once a week reading assesment. not terrible

Guy is not a bad teacher, has a good policy regarding how he counts test. Does have a short fuse and will kick out the "****" out for talking. Not a bad teacher though
