Excellent performer, good conductor. Very tough to be his Sax student since he controlled Wind ensemble and Jazz ensemble. Had much better experiences in groups he didn't control. On the bright side, if it had not been for him , I may very well have stayed in music and missed out on a career that allowed me to retire at Age 50

A little intimidating at first...took some getting used to. Totally dry humor. Can be incredibly hilarious. Overall, he really cares about his students. If he thinks your slacking off, he'll totally kick your butt into shape. Everyone needs a teacher who believes in them...

What a wonderful course to take on a summer's morn. I awoke, repleat with hangover symptoms, only to have them washed away with smooooth jazz. I think I made a 108 average in his class. I still remember the class (from 1994) every time I hear Earth, Wind, and Fire. Also, this fool played with Ray Charles!

dr.gora, is the greatest teacher i have ever had, he has helped me so much. he inspires you in a way, that is so amazing! I love this man!!! He really makes you wanna play the best you can and you have fun doing it!! everyone needs a teacher like him!
