The class itself was fairly interesting. You have to read to pass the quizzes. Writing assignment can be very confusing, but there are very few.

I took his online class. It was incredibly difficult, with a very odd and hard to use computer program, with out any clarification from him.

Comment:
The assignments are so unnecessarily complicated that the students spend more time deciphering his directions than actually learning. He's a bit biased against females (this was obvious from some of his comments). Otherwise, he's usually friendly and willing to help.

VERY DIFFICULT teacher. Quizzes and exercises are extremely difficult. Don't expect to find the answers in the text easily... This is the first class I've ever taken where I am struggling. I was on the president's list(4.0 college GPA) last semester, and I'm averaging a C in this class. I'm taking this class online too. Should be easier? Nope.

Mr. Hirt challenges his students and explains the concepts of geography well. He is easily approachable and spends most of the day in the class room/ office. Take good notes and show up every day and you should be fine.

His class was the only class I've ever failed in my life. i had A's in all classes except his.he is a nice man and willing to help, but his grading system is very flawed and he doesn't offer extra credit and grades the quizzes too heavily, which are hard.

Ridiculously hard class! I got straight A's in all my other classes, and a D in his. He's a nice guy and helps out, but I was lost the whole semester. Basically everyone I knew got a D in the class. So beware of taking this.

Nice guy. He helps you out when you ask a question and explains things really clearly. He gives a quize everytime and never gives an extra credit. So don't miss a single day of class or you lose points. Tests are very difficult.
