I had Kerrigan for 2 classes (in a row) one semester- Major British I and Shakespeare. His lectures alone convinced me that he has to be one of the foremost scholars of Shakespeare in the Northeast U.S. His deconstruction of Paradise Lost's final scene nearly made me weep, it was such a brilliant articulation of the passage's beauty.
