Kolberg is the man. Subject is kinda boring, but he makes the best out of it. He's a little awkward at office hours, but he will help so much. All the exams - noncumulative - are a little more difficult than you'd expect, but he lets you do corrections and will help. Overall, hilarious guy, great prof, good choice!

He's an interesting and nice guy. Very quirky, and often scatterbrained, but likeable. Class was extremely easy. No tests, no attendance, did not use textbook AT ALL, we did a ton of our HW in class, and he is very lenient with due dates/late work. Would recommend if you want an easy class that is moderately interesting.

Literally the best teacher I have had at Ithaca College. If you go to class and pay attention it is impossible not to learn. He loves economics and cares that his students do well in his class.

Took Microeconomics and had no idea what I was doing since I've never taken an econ class. However, Kolberg was extremely helpful. Tests are ridiculous, but the projects make up for the horrible great you'll get on the tests. Funny, funny guy. I would take another class with him and highly recommend him!

I have taken 3 classes with Kolberg, microeconomics, microanalysis, and market experiments. He attempts to insert humor that at least keeps the class somewhat entertaining. All in all I would recommend.

He was also interesting to listen to. One time he even made us meditate. Tons of interesting stories. When it really came down to it though the class was very boring and easy to skip which led to a bad grade. Also only having 2 exams the semester made the class harder.

Kolberg is a very enthusiastic teacher who is usually willing to go out of his way to help you out with any problems you have...just not sure if all his mental faculties are in place. With that said, Micro Analysis is by far THE DRIEST AND MOST BORING ECON CLASS THE SCHOOL OFFERS!! I wouldn't recommend taking it unless you're required to.

Though often scatterbrained in class, Kolberg is a thoroughly good guy who will give you the benefit of the doubt and help you outside of class. Scripted his own analysis program, which is interesting but very buggy and requires Windows :-(. Stay on top of the projects, and do not hesitate to contact him outside of class.

I found his microecon class to be far too easy. He knows his stuff, but he's absent-minded and lectures to you like you're an unintelligent high-schooler. If you need an easy gen ed class, take this one. If you're really interested in economics, there are PROBABLY more interesting teachers here.

Enthusiastic, unintentionally hilarious and very accessible. It's a boring subject, but he makes it tolerable and it would be hard to pass without learning a good bit. His only flaw is that he's a bit absent-minded. He has a lot of negative reviews, but you'll find they're not true if you go in to the class with an open mind.

First of all, I would recommend taking this class w/ him. He makes it somewhat interesting when it is usually a boring required class. He's an aquired taste, however. He's very peculiar but can be hilarious. He really loves economics tho and that makes him a really good professor.

Kolberg is amazing. His lectures generate some unforgettable quotes. It is unfortunate that his class is overrun by people who need gen requirements, etc., because with large classes, disinterested students, and a boring subject, teaching this is bound to be a challenge. He tries his best with stories and different activities/assignments, though.
