Bill is a genuinely great guy who is incredibly organized. Although Property law was never his strong suit, he wants to teach the class in order to learn himself. Also, as a side-note, he plays hockey in the ice time before me and we do a little bit of chirping back and forth which is a lot of fun.

The most interesting and engaging class I took in law school - all of this with subject matter I expected to be quite dull. He is brilliant, thorough, challenging & funny. Since he doesn't teach to the lowest common denominator, I suspect those that don't like the challenge, don't like the class.

Extremely arrogant, inside class and out. Interesting discussions that are theoretical in nature, but he fails to adequately cover the practical application of the law, which is what you end up being tested on.

Lahey is far from arrogant. He teaches a subject that touches on human rights, race and gender. In challenging assumptions of predominantly white, upper middle class law students, insight can easily be mistaken for arrogance. Listen to him and you just might learn something.

Professor Lahey is one of the most intelligent profs at Dal Law. Unfortunately he talks over most everyone. Extremely helpful one on one.
