Comment:

Very tedious work. He didnt explain assignments thoroughly, but lretty much all of them consisted of drawing shapes and coloring them with colored pencils. The class wasnt horrible, but I didnt learn much about design or composition. I wouldnt take this professor again.

I am taking him for art120. He really leads you through the process of each artist he lectures on. His assignments tie in with the basic building blocks of the type of art he is exposing you to. I would recommend him to anyone serious enough to get to the heart of real compositional work.

Mosley is the most self centered teacher I've ever taken. Extremely obsessed with punctuation and enforcing archaic technology rules. Spends no time in class actually helping students and gives vague responses when he actually does. If you could just come to class to receive and turn in projects I might recommend this, but as is.. DO NOT TAKE!!!

If you're someone who is not familiar with creating art or intimidated by drawing, this professor is a good choice for you, he's very accommodating. If you're an art major (like me) this may not be the most enriching professor for you. Also, He doesn't allow headphones in during work times and HATES the sight of phones (even if you're on break)

Show up on time and attend all classes. Is willing to switch class times with you (i couldn't do 9am classes so i switched to the 12pm class) which is cool. Came off rude at first but the more you talk to him I swear he'll like you more.

This teacher is not ideal if you are majoring in any kind of art major. His projects are all very similar and offer little space to expand and learn about anything further than how fit shapes together and simply color them in with colored pencils. The grading system is not clear at all, and he offers little to no feedback on each project.

He has strict rules for an art class which fellow students complain about all semester long, no music, no headphones, no phones out at any time in classroom, must be on time or marked absent. He gives clear direction on parameters in 2D design class the complexity is up to you The harder you work in his eyes the better the grade Somehow I got an A+

I actually enjoyed this class. The projects were a bit of a hassle but doable. His instructions can be a little vague and when you ask for help he can be a little off topic. Overall, a good class.

If you're looking for a fun drawing class, this really isn't it. Most of the projects were miserable or barely tolerable for me. Rarely actually has much helpful to say. Some of the deadlines are a little unreasonable. Not being able to listen to your own music is a big minus and he plays weird stuff sometimes.

Mr. Mosley is the best art teacher I have had at Grossmont. He says exactly what he wants but too many students don't see that. He just wants exactly what he says and if you do that you'll pass. He has really pushed my art skills and I really enjoyed his class. Don't take it so seriously and show up and you'll be fine.

The teacher does not explain assignments very well and has an unreasonable amount of time to finish them. He doesn't explain what not to do until you already do it. When you ask him a question he turns it into a different subject an never explains/answers your question. I love art it's my favorite thing to do, but i wouldn't take this class again.

I had an excellent time in Mosley's class. I could see a lot of other students getting frustrated, but it's just a matter of giving him exactly what he's asking for on the projects. Stick with the outline, don't try to get too inventive with your interpretations of the assignments. He's a really cool guy if you give him a chance.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, Avoid! Totally unreasonable hours required for each project, waste of time, NO help or instruction, No current technology or relevant projects, OUTDATED! He talks constantly but not about art. Late or miss class 3 times your OUT! Very expensive materials required. Getting an A is almost impossible unfairly destroyed my 4.0 GPA.

Grading system will ruin your GPA, offers almost no help, talks incessantly about non art related B.S. no modern tech. allowed, archaic out dated teacher. I love ART, attended every class, did every assign. accurately, participated, but was unable to get an A on even 1 project. I will never take another of his classes nor would I recommend him

Do not take his class if you are a foreigner or hard of hearing, because he mumbles. I've made numerous efforts to communicate with him, but he fails at communication. Attended every class, turned every project in on time and still got a C. I had a class full of art majors to compete with on the curve and it didn't help that Mosely con't stop talking about himself. Recommend against taking.
