If I could give this guy a zero I would. Worst teacher I've ever had. Halfway through course he tells class that the midterm avg was a 54 so he's giving up teaching and then just does examples from the book that he wrote on the board for 5-10 mins before walking out. Completely unhelpful in office hours. Big believer in you get it or don't.

Although Dr Park is a knowledgeable professor the problem lies within the transfer of this knowledge. He expects you to know material that he barely grazes by in class and that the book mentions but lacks detail of. This expectation has lead many students to fail the first MATLAB quiz, the typical average score being in the 50-60 range.

Absolutely awful teacher. He doesn't care about any of the students what so ever and told us the material was too easy so he wasn't even going to bother to teach it. Other classes test average were an 86, our highest grade was an 88 and the average a 64. Don't take him, not good at all. Anybody else

by this point you have read mixed reviews, both good and bad about Dr. Park. I strongly urge you NOT to take him. Bottom line, do not register for his classes, you will regret it! i promise, just switch out. Do it and thank me later.

Wow! When you get past the fact that he wears tevas, a kilt, a pony tail, and a santa beard you have left a TERRIBLE teacher. He reminds us everyday that he only has 3 years til he retires and he wont have to put up with us any more. NOT clear, NOT helpful, writes the WORST tests and does not go over all the material that will be on them. TERRIBLE!

He somehow manages to take fairly simple coding ideas and turn them into a nightmare. It should not take 45 minutes to explain how to use an 'if' statement. There were so many times when I thought I personally could do a better job explaining the material.

Dr. Park really deserves better ratings. He's an interesting guy and really knows his stuff. By far the most helpful professor. If you go see him in his office or during class, he will explain literally everything to you. Very willing to spend the time and help. I liked him.

This class was the most useless one I took all semester. Dr. Park taught nothing, and I would have been better off attending a class on Swahili. It isn't a difficult class, but the "lectures" (ha! What lectures?!) were not helpful. Be prepared for pop quizzes and painful "jokes."

The class really isn't that bad. If you have common sense, you will do well on the tests. The homeworks are graded harshly though, but that's his graders. Most people get an A. But he is not really a good CES102 teacher, I depended on the book to learn the physics involved. Oh yeah, and nothing you have to do is described well at all.

Dr. Park is extremely condescending in class, and although he is often in his office, he can be intimidating. Course material is rarely presented in class because he wrote the text used in class & expects students to already know the material. Homework can be difficult & is graded harshly. Always do the assigned reading as quizzes are typical.

I wouldn't suggest anyone takes his class - he seems funny/nice at first, but when asked a question he mocks the person, and he tends to yell at classes for mistakes other classes made. He also grades homework impossibly. *Do not take unless 100% sure about engineeringI wasn't, and within the first 4 weeks I dropped the class, and switched majors.

Dr. Park is pleasant outside of class but can come off as condescending in class. He doesn't teach much because General Engineering simply doesn't have a lot to offer and seems to be a necessary evil. His class is easy but if you don't study for quizzes, it will kill your average. Grades homework harshly but if you study you will be fine.

Dr. Park does not teach very much, but none of the ENGR 141 teachers really do. Park is still a rather reasonable person one-on-one, but in class he can tend to be condescending. He definitely likes to challenge students, so be prepared for some difficult coursework, but he won't completely abandon anyone.

He is a bad teacher. He starts class a few minutes early sometimes and when you get to class on time and ask him a question about what he just said he says you should have been listening. He took points off my test b/c i had the right answer but its not what he wanted b/c the question was poorly written which he said so himself. TAKE BOWMAN INSTEAD
