Comment:

Took for manangerial econ. Its time for him to retire. So old he doen't even get up to do problems out on the board. Just reads numbers off, in list form, and thinks students get it. Doesn't attend office hours. Not helpful. Did i say its time to retire?

Worst professor. Aplia questions force you to read book. But does not teach from book; lectures are all math problems which you can't look up anywhere; much harder material than book. Quizzes math only; but gives trick questions so you can't do well. After never using he book he put obscure questions from book on midterm. AVOID!!!

Do not take Professor Simeone if you value your GPA at all. He is a grumpy, non-approachable man, and he speeds through the material. He does not make things clear and he blames his students for not doing well. His midterm is difficult, final even worse. He speaks down to his students. Dont take his class. I'm a good student and it's very difficult

Dr. Simeone is the most entertaining professors at PC! His take on the world is hysterical and makes class worth going to. He is not that hard providing you do the reading and Aplia. Do his handouts exactly as he wants and you'll have no trouble. Don't be intimidated by him; laugh at his jokes and he'll like you. You will learn a lot from him!

Comment:

Simeone is a unique guy to say the least. You got to adapt to him from the beginning but then you'll start to like him. He'll repeat about 90% of the sentences he says but he's obviously very intelligent and knows everything about economics so just pay attention. Hard tests but micro isn't an easy subject. Oh yeah, his rants are pretty amusing too.

This guy should have retired 20 years ago. He's got to be at least in his late 70's, possible early eighties. All he does is ramble and It's impossible to learn anything from him

waay past his time. worst sense of humor and watch out if you are a girl. cannot explain things well, goes too fast in class so hard to take notes, never checks his email. have to do difficult problems online every week and only other grades are VERY hard midterm and final. I am a good student and this class is the most ridiculous i've ever had

This guy wasn't as bad as everyone is saying. He gives a 10 question quiz every week, which is a grade booster if you pay any attention at all. You don't really have to read the book if you take good notes in class. His lectures can be kind of boring, but they are manageable. I would reccomend taking this guy.

really good teacher, i definitely recommend his class, especially if you're an econ major. he really wants you to learn the material. assigns homework online that is kind of annoying, but not too hard. his tests are difficult if you dont study, but he gives you the essay answers on angel if you are willingly to go look them up.

In the beginning its hard to figure how to study for the class/quizzes, but it gets better. You have to pay close attention in class to actually understand the material, but for the most part he is clear. No homework, but material takes LOTS of studying. Funny guy. Final = pretty much your entire grade. Definatly take Dr. Simeone.

I was dreading this class so much before taking it because of all the horrible comments people left. Simeone is a great professor. He knows his stuff, he's extremely clear and straight forward and all you have to do is take notes and read the book to do well. He's pretty funny too if you get his subtle jokes.

You have to like econ to like this guy. If you do the work, study your notes before the quizzes and finals, and ask questions, you will get an A. If you slack off or skip classes your grade plummets. He has a subtle sense of humor, but also likes to intimidate. Kids who trash this guy are the ones who expected this to be an easy social science core

I thought this guy was the man. I mean this cat could ball. He's not as bad as these people are saying. Look over your notes the night before a quiz and you'll get a 100 everytime. If your mad lazy, then dont take him, if you need economics for your major. take him, cause you'll learn.

Not as bad as his reputation. Very boring and not the most engaging/friendly man but the class itself wasn't that difficult.
