Comment:

There are only a few exams and those are straight form the book, 4 chapters at a time. What is discussed in class/pp presentation, is not on the exams. Just when you think you know the material an have studied every day since the work was assigned, you get the exam in front of you and you have no idea where the questions came from. Nice guy but..

His exams require a lot of studying. He will not specify what you have to study , he just says "books, power points, lectures, everything". He had us reading 3 books at once. This class was just hard and boring. He's a tad bit rude at times , especially about phones.

He's a really nice guy but not a great teacher. His tests come directly from the book and there's barely anything from his powerpoints on it. If he runs out of time on his discussion for one day the next day he will completely forget about it and start on a new topic. and like many said, his lectures are so boring and hard to follow.

This class put me to sleep almost every time. We never talked about anything to do with sociology. All of his test came from the book which was no help either. The only thing that I liked was that he gave us a book report that added 5 points to our final grade if we pass it In early enough

He's super nice but his class is absolutely boring and pointless. It's extremely hard to pay attention because he only tells pointless stories about his family and other random stuff that has nothing to do with lecture. Most classes you don't even learn anything. The tests are way too hard for his simple lectures, you need to read the book to pass.

He seems like a nice guy but his class is so boring I can't stand it. All he does is tell his life stories and doesn't talk about what we're supposed to be talking about. You HAVE TO read the book because his entire tests are from the book. He has a 1 absence only rule, but it's so boring I have to skip.

Extremely easy. Many people complain because of the tests but he GIVES you the tests before the exam so you can go to class knowing all the answers. You just have to go home and look the answers up in your text book. They are all multiple choice with an essay which he gives you the essay too. Does go off on tangents.

His intro soc class consisted entirely of 3 tests and one paper, and he goes off on personal tangents most of class. It is quite easy, however, as long as you complete all of the assiged readings. You don't get much out of his lectures. He is helpful if you ask him for help on your own time.

Not to be mean, but this guy is really not good at helping students understand the material. He goes on these wild tangents about things in the middle of explaining something and you forget where you were. He's not a bad guy just horrible at teaching this material, his slides are from like 1973 and he's been reusing them over and over and over.

Great guy who is very down to earth. Tries to make the best out of VERY boring material. Scales tests and is willing to help. If you put the effort in and go for help, he will not fail anyone! Funny too.

He was helpful for me, you just have to go to him. His exams are hard and you really have to study a lot. He made us do one group presentation that was easy. He is a weird guy, but makes us laugh a lot. I think he does a pretty good job for material that is incredibly boring.
