Dr. Watson is a very energetic and enthusiastic professor who makes students want to engage in the course. However, based on the posts from some students, they don't know what to make of his personality style. To those critics of Dr. Watson, I would say judge on the content he presents, not his style.

Comment:

Favorite professor that I have ever had in both graduate and undergraduate studies. Dr. Watson is the reason that I chose History as my major and the person I credit with inspiring my own passion for the subject I now teach. I cannot say enough positive things about him as both an instructor and a person. (7 courses with Him while at CCU)

Dr. Watson is one of the best profs at CCU. He is absolutely brilliant. Papers are typically book report style and his exams are based on the notes he hands out. He's very open to meeting with students and is very helpful and caring!

One of the smartest people i have ever met. He knows so much that it is a little hard for him to stay on topic but even when he goes on tangents you learn more than most classes. As long as you do the work you will be fine.

I took Watson for several classes and disliked all of them. He's very disorganized and hard to follow. You must write twice as much as he says to get an A on papers. His tests are hard, but only because his lectures and "notes" are dumbed down, and he tends to oversimplify complicated issues.

Watson is prob. one of the smartest and most opinionated people I know. Don't take an 8am with him and you'll be fine. He goes on A LOT of tangents and you'll hardly talk about Western Civ, but he is funny and very intelligent.

I found his tests hard, but then again, history is not my forte. Dr. Watson is a firecracker--FULL of energy! His antics are hilarious. Though he does get sidetracked VERY easily, he knows his stuff and makes history fun. TAKE HIS CLASS!

I have never been so challenged to grow and find my own faith, not what others believe, or even what HE believes. even though his class is my earliest, i definately don't ever get tired or bored...plus his theology and critical thinking sticks with you all day! I really look forward to his class!
