Waste. Of. Time. Such a bad professor. I did not learn a single thing. His tests are impossible, the lectures are boring and have no relevance. His grading is slow and makes hardly any sense. Whatever with this guy. Don't take this class if you want a good grade towards your gpa. If you want to learn more about religion, go to church..

I have to disagree with everyone. Yes his tests were slightly difficult, but it's because it's a subject he's studied his whole life and expects students to think about religion in a new way. His tests arent based on the book it's all from lecture. So as long as you go to class and take good notes you'll do fine, he's got good stories too!

I would discourage taking this class with Dr. Woodward! His lectures are completely irrelavant. I recommend reading the book, but even then you will have to guess on parts of the exams.

Interesting guy. Owns a sweet foreign film theatre in Tempe, which is cool. He breezes over things that will be on the test, and you have no idea that these things were on the test until after you take it. However, I do believe he curves the tests. This class should not be as hard as it is. Good luck.

This class is BOGUS. If you actually attend this class, all he talks about is his own experiences. Then expects you to read his whole book that he wrote. The exams are 100% IMPOSSIBLE. I've studied for hours and still failed. I finished with a B in his class because he rounds all of the exams. I do NOT recommend this class.

not a good teacher. spends too much time talking about personal experiences (which are interesting; however he never tests on it) never clear about waht is on the tests and test are difficult. class average is always very low. goin to class is almost pointless. bring a computer if you want to stay awake

Going to class is a waste of time. The tests are never on any material in the book. He even said he wouldnt ever talk about any material in the book, its a waste of his time....and yours. Dont take this class. Seriously. Our class average on the first 2 tests were failing. that says something about how he teaches.

Lousy teacher. This idiot just rants about nonsense for the entire lecture. I dont believe he actually teaches any real facts about religion. His tests are all opinion and you are still in trouble if you read the entire book. Good luck guessing your way through this potentially interesting but frustrating class.

Very difficult class... you do not need to go to class because all he does is start to lecture, then he goes off on crazy story tangents.... soo u never know if what he is talking about is relevant or not... i suggest just reading the chapters that the upcoming test is on and hoping for the best. His final is really easy (finished in 3 mins)

Not a very challenging course. You can get by without reading the books. No tests, only short essays. Class is mostly movies. As long as you can write a decent essay, you'll get by. Prof. Woodward is unorganized, but he is interesting to listen to and seems like nice person.
