Comment:
Take PM1 over the summer or just take the CS equivalent which is comprised of CS111 and CS112. You'll thank me later. She goes over rudimentary concepts and then assigns somewhat difficult in class assignments which can be found in chegg. I knew smart people that got 50s on the mid term. Not worth it unless you're a programming genius. She Curves

ECE majors whine too much. She explained some pretty complicated OOP and C++ concepts in a relatively clear way and was very approachable and open to helping students who showed they were actually trying (which is a minority in ECE). Would definitely take her again.

Comment:
An incredibly unprepared professor. Does not care about answering questions correctly and is never on the same page as her TA's. If you ask them both the same question in the same class you will get totally different answers. Treats work as if you are only taking her class and makes herself unavailable. Prepare for projects during finals.

Horrible Teacher. You work hard throughout the semester but the grade you get in the end is not even close to fair. Copies this guy from CMU. The lectures are exactly same. Cannot answer questions. Doesn't know anything. Does not give time to meet students.

Comment:
Professor extremely disorganized with unclear project guidelines. Material used is half from Prof. Ivan Marsic's textbook and half from CMU. The class covers a broad spectrum of interesting topics however they are somewhat poorly explained. It is best to understand what topics are being covered and self study.

She is a good professor who knws what she has to teach, but the project work is extremely difficult and she gives very little time for it. Very busy, doesnt meet students much.

There is no VHDL. Prof. is busy with other stuff. Project ideas are mostly SW, only few HW. Very little explanation on the blackboard, mostly ppt presentation. Almost no preparation for the exam. No problem solving home works, which I think there should be. Journal papers review summaries are assigned first half of the semester. Rel. easy course.

She tries her best to explain Programming Meth but it does't work. Subject is not that difficult is taught properly. Also this class should be taught in lab instead of lecture hall. Exams are OK.

Knows her stuff, but can't teach. She doesn't care if students understand, she will move on. Very unorganized. Gives easy practice exams and tells everyone that it will resemble the midterms, but real exams are much harder. Instead of giving a curve, she reduced the range for A even though she promised a curve and the avg was 60. Avoid her!!

Zhang was a tough professor. Exams had one or two extremely hard questions to separate the A's and B's from the C's. The Lab was very difficult as well. Go to class, pay attention, and study. Good luck...

Will have to say her explanation wasnt that bad, but her exams are gona kill you right there. With materials that are neither in the textbook nor cover during lecture, pretty sucks, plus shes a liar. Sais that the practice exam are pretty close to the real one, turns out not the same at all......

Probably the most unorganized class at Rutgers. They should find a teacher that actually wants to teach this course.

As far as a teacher, she is not a good one. She will not answer questions, and will not admit to mistakes. She gives quizes during class and they count for an entire exam because no one would show up to lecture otherwise. This is from a student doing well in the class, not an angry review. Exam questions are ambiguous. Just read the book and notes.

Yeah...umm well this class sucks ass if you don't like programming and you don't have friends who will help you program (aka you're in EE). Class is ok...material is interesting...but she is very unhelpful and she's a ****.

Her class is pretty fair; exams are not so bad. However, not enough preparation is given in order to do the lab assignments effeciently. She basically throws you to the wolves. If you start lab projects early and visit office hours frequently, you will do fine.

When she doesn't answer a question during lecture and tells you to go to office hours...don't. She'll either dodge the question or confuse you more.
