It is a terrible terrible shame oberlin didn't keep him. knew his**** and loved to tell you about it. a lot of people didn't get his sense of humor but once you caught that he was joking, you realized he was hilarious.

Yasser Tabbaa Knows is the current foremost scholar on Islamic Art and Architecture. Most of the material we use in class comes from his own published materials. he shows slides of himself from the 70s with tight pants and a muslimfro. fairly easy grader, lax deadlines. very sweet. not always organized. refers to his own work simply b/c he wrote a sizable portion of the material in the field. dorky sense of humor. and i love his mustache. adorable.

If you can get past references to his publications at least once each class, he's fine. The art is FASCINATING and the dude really knows what he's talking about. Also understanding- I was hella sick and he was mellow about dates, etc.
