Took this class because i though it would be fun, but honestly it killed my joy of water color painting. you learn some cool techniques, yeah she helps you if you have any question but this class is so BORING! she gives really long lectures and soaks in a monotone. I also found myself rushing to get the projects done at the end of the semester.

Wow, people really dislike her. however, I found her to be fun,very comical, and expanded my mind beyond the normal. Im a white male, so careful on the sexiest and racial comments! i have no plans to be a painter, but she helped craft my artist mind! shes fun! heres some credit YO landa wheres it due (ps, not kissin ass, took her 2 years ago)

You like watercolor? Do you enjoy expressing creativity in your art? Then AVOID THIS WOMAN. She will take everything you love about art and smash it into little pieces. Not only that, but in one semester, you will spend over FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS IN SUPPLIES and use only 10% of what you bought. Worst teacher ever.

Everything said is true. My first experience with watercolor was a bad one cos of her. No freedom of expression (even tho watercolor is supposed to be most free of all paint), didn't learn proper way, must do it her way, like PAINT BY NUMBERS essentially, not really watercolor! Expensive! Not worth taking.

I speak from experience. She is one of the WORST IN THE FIELD. She doesn't teach and is vindictive toward anyone- students or untenured faculty- who exposes her. She will go to any length to hide the fact that she is essentially super insecure, beyond incompetent and has no interest in the students. The rest of the faculty don't want to deal it.

STAY AWAY!!! she is not a teacher or an artist, plus, question the art department that made her chair and still allow her to teach. I have worked in real art world, and have taught and taken may classes and workshops, she is by far, one of the only teacher I would NEVER RECOMMEND to anyone for any reason. she does not know her subject matter, or can she teach, or lead.

This Professor is a nice lady, but shouldn't be a teacher. Never makes up her mind on what she wants and in the end you get in trouble. She isn't helpful either. Very critical of your work unless you paint her way. No freedom of expression. If you don't change your painting to her liking she'll give you a bad grade. Avoid her classes at all costs!

Prides herself on slapping wads of paint on canvas and selling them for a couple grand. She picks up your paint brush, and proceeds to paint on YOUR canvas...to teach. This woman speaks like an alien, and ruins whatever effort or interest you had going into the class. Shes a lazy lazy bum.
