Comment:

Don't bother showing up for lectures. He reads off the slides, does a few example probs (often incorrectly or inefficiently) and is difficult to understand. The test questions are fairly standard physics problems which were very doable by skimming the textbook and using prior knowledge from HS--no thanks to the lectures. Decent curve, online HW.

he is super sweet. he does give a curve at the end. three tests all semester with homework that will boost your grade. some questions from his test are conceptual and somewhat tricky, but he is super sweet and loves his students.

Dr. Ha, was, without a doubt, the worst professor I've ever encountered at Temple. Does not stimulate his students in the slightest, and reads straight off the pre-made powerpoint slides. It isn't even worth coming to lecture. How the department could assign him to teach anybody is beyond me- an injustice to students.

Worst class, heartless professor. Students do ok if you took Physics in hs. Gives you review problems but are nothing like the exam. His test questions are multiple choice but you need to show all work for points. He does not care for you if you are struggling & never told us there will be theoretical q's. Class does not help. Do not recommend.

Holy curve, most people do terrible on the tests even though the questions are multiple choice, straight from the book questions+examples, and are the only thing focused in the homework recitation. Attendance isn't necessary and going doesn't really offer much information, just do the homework and read the sections and it's an easy A.

Dr. HA is AWESOME! Don't listen to the bad reviews. I learned a great deal more than I thought I would. Test are multiple choice and are graded with a HUGE curve. Go to every class and you'll get an A. Honestly, Dr. HA is a super nice guy. He's been teaching at Temple for over 30 years. Take this class if you need or want an A!

Avoid this guy. Seriously. I took a gen ed with him in a giant lecture hall and as soon as he took attendance pretty much everyone would just get up and leave. I learned absolutely nothing in his class, and passed the tests just by reading the chapters. His classes and lectures are so slow it's impossible to pay attention. Avoid. Avoid.

His tests are really easy if you do the problem sets. His tests are almost exactly like the homework and they're multiple choice, but you have to show work to get full credit. I've taken physics before in high school, but overall I think it was a pretty easy class.

bad teacher but honestly its the dream class his lectures r pointless and didnt have anything to do with tests. but the tests r hard if u throughly read chapters u will do fine there are huge curves cuz kids don't know how to study lol. Even if you read the textbook back to front, his exams very difficult. The average the first test was a 60. He curves it a lot though. if anything, MAKE SURE TO ATTEND CLASS. He doesn't dock points but gives you extra points if you do. I had an average of a D on the tests, went to every class and ended up somehow with a B+. Very boring lectures

A really nice and funny professor. His class can be boring sometimes, but as long as you come to class, he'll give you a good grade. He curves and his exams are mostly easy multiple questions. Very easy class to pass. :)

Terrible. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Did I say enough? Seriously, this is one of the worst classes at Temple. I failed every exam and simply showed up to show my face but otherwise I just studied for another class or read in the meantime. Complete waste of three credits and a GS GenEd course. Please, for your sake, find another course.

Dr. Ha is a such a cute old man, and despite what other people are saying, I really enjoyed his class. If you actually pay attention, his lectures are really informative and interesting. He is clearly at the top of his field and has a lot to share. It's up to you if you choose to learn from him or not.

took attendance, by hand, for a 200+ kid lecture. After 25 mins of attendance, you can't even understand what he is saying. He has a thick accent, and after everything he says, he says the word, "right?" I counted one class and he said it over 300 times.Thats all that i learned from the entire course. Got a B+ tho,so that says something i guess.
