You must get the textbook and workbook, and I highly recommend going to class. Other than that, she's a very great teacher. She makes a difficult language easy to learn. A little bit of studying, and you'll be fine. Some homework, but not much, and it's a completion grade. Overall, very easy if you just go to class and study before each test/quiz.

Yumi Sensee is wonderful. I was a little freaked out going into class (never having taken Japanese before) but she made it easy to understand and I learned a lot. She's a great teacher that no student wants to disappoint. I even found myself studying during the summer just so I could stay in touch with my Japanese side!

She is a really sweet teacher and grades super easy! as long as you do the homework shell give you full credit. Tests are easy. I hardly ever went to class and still got a B and all my tests were B+s. Loved it!

Great comprehensible class. It's basically a review of what you learned the last class, then new stuff the other half of class. It makes learning easy. Easy A. Easy to get embarrassed in a foreign language though. Japanese is supposed to be very difficult, but the welcome environment makes it surprising how much you have learned by the end.

Really nice. She WILL talk about you when you're not in class, by way of teaching the people who are in class how to call you dumb and whatnot. If you are really sensitive about that then don't enroll or don't miss class. If anything she's too easy. You can get an A and not learn anything if you don't put in any effort.

Yumi-sensei is so sweet. Please don't take advantage of her. She's also very, very easy, because she wants you to succeed. She is very cool. I went to Japan with her and she was so awesome, buying me fruit and giving me medicine when I had a fever! She makes Japanese, a supposedly very hard language, easy. And she's always positive and happy. Be nice to her or I'll beat you up!
