Professor Tuncel is nice, but his class is terribly boring and easy. If you're looking for an easy A, this is the class. You don't even have to pay attention to class, or even read beforehand. Just follow the flow of the lecture and make some questions, and you usually get away with A. Not recommended if you want challenging professors.

Professor Tuncel loves philosophy, and if you show him in class and on papers that you're engaged too, his class is fun and easy. Tends to ramble in class, but if you read a bit and write down the asides he says you'll be on topic all semester. Take home final, posts lecture slides on classes, hilarious guy do take.

Most people just go on their laptops and do something else because he reads off his powerpoints (which have 2-3 paragraphs per slide) which he posts later. But there are very interesting discussions about philosophy. He's an easy grader, most people in the class got A's for the midterm and the papers. He checks attendance every class.

Overall just a decent professor. I somewhat enjoyed the class, but felt that I didn't really learn anything substantial by the end of it. His classes were incredibly disorganized and his explanations of philosophy and reading were difficult to understand. Really nice guy as a person, but not the greatest professor.

A very chill guy, who has a genuine passion for philosophy. His class is more philosophy focused than other SF classes that also do politics, history, & religion. Since I find philosophy hard to grasp, I found his class extremely difficult. He doesn't teach the material as he prefers to discuss it and hear what you think. He's really nice though.

Prof Tuncel is AMAZING! Loved his class - he posts lectures online, so you only need to jot down the extra stuff he says. He tries to get students to participate by asking them their opinions every so often, but the classes are mostly lecture based. Super easy grader. He's also really knowledgable so you'll definitely learn a lot! Really nice guy!

I LOVE PROF TUNCEL!!! take his class! He is such an amazing professor and such a sweet adorable man! he lectures all class, but just take notes and make sure you show you are engaged and he will love you! once you get on his good side, you are set. Also he always posts the notes online so you dont have to take great notes. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Tuncel is obviously nice and knowledgable. That being said, his lessons are sometimes boring and always hard to follow. But, he's a ridiculously easy grader. There's pop quizzes, but just know conceptually what the readings are about. He assigns things in class not on the syllabus sometimes, so if you miss class, have someone to refer back to.

Professor Tuncel is awesome. He has a passion for philosophy and loves to hear the opinions of his students. Definitely recommend. His lectures may be a bit tedious, but he is extremely nice and wants to hear your voice. Essay topics aren't that hard, he does have pop quizzes so prepare as needed. But DEFINITELY TAKE HIM!

Very nice, funny guy. I wouldn't take him again because I don't like his lecture style. Every class he goes through power points with paragraphs of writing on them. Each slide seems the same and it's so hard to follow.

Yunus is a brilliant scholar who really just wants to have a discussion about philosophy. Accordingly, his lectures can be hard to follow, but he posts all his notes online. You must participate in class and compose coherent, original analysis. Can be boring, but also very cool and funny. Take if you want an easy A, not to be challenged.

Prof. Tuncel is easy. All you have to do is show up and listen and occasionally say a few words. His essays are easy and the midterms are also a breeze. I wrote possibly the worst essay on Earth and i still got a 100%, it's crazy. Take home final and a party on the last day.

I had Yunus this semester and he was awesome. He loves to laugh and has a great time in class. He has a cool Turkish accent which is always a plus. Basically, show up talk philosophy and write a solid paper and you'll get an A. He is awesome

Yunus is the man. Basically a chill turkish guy that just wants to sit down and chat about philosophy. Just show up most of the time, don't be afraid to question things and add your own thoughts to the discussion, and write a decent essay and you will get an A.
