Took this class online and disappointed by his lack of involvement. I am fully online and all other professors would send announcements. He barely responded to my emails and gave us almost no info on the final exam. Had to figure it all out myself because not much on the syllabus either. You'd think he would be involved because its a hard class.

I agree-I love math in all its myriad forms and I found this prof to be just wonderful.He breaks down everything methodically and there's no way you could not understand the subject.The textbook wasn't that great, though. I am an older student and I can see the difference in student's attitudes in 20 years-now they blame the prof for everything.

If you are a graduate student you will find no professor better than this guy. He is clear, organized, and thorough. Notice the people who complained above do not have any ability in math. They hate the course because it is hard. They should take other professors and see that the course would be even less understandable.

Thought this course was a breeze...it was, till the finals.He totally fooled us with his easy-going attitude.One 20-point question in the exam is based on guessing the test to be applied. Guess it wrong-u lose all 20 points! Nuts! He goes over and over the formulas in class without any discussion of the big picture. Should be teaching high school!

He's very hard. I do not recommend him. He's one of those professors that goes around and doesn't get to the point. He gets to the point after he has fill all the board with notes....leaving you thinking and confused? Do I need to write all that? Please can you just be more specific. His exams are hard, he expects you to be a freaking mathematician

He spends the lecture time proving formulas and then doesn't tell you how to use them. The text isn't any better. Be prepared to hire a tutor to teach you what he expects on the exams and help you with complex matrix algebra. The exam may not even reflect the notes or the text book. His handwriting is neat at least.

Statistics isn the worse subject ever but the guys fair. Bit of an accent but I'ver heard a lot worse. He gives great notes and requires attendence but you would't want to miss class anyway or your totally lost. Test can be a little tricky. Got a B- in his class.
