He is a highly intelligent guy. His ass'ts and exams fairly test the materials he's emphasized. I think he knows that students find him hard to understand but he puts a lot of emphasis on his notes--which explain a lot more than the text. Good prof, listens to students, willing to help.

Spends an insane amount of time on the hard stuff, and ends up rushing through the easy stuff. Lectures jump around a lot. Tests and assignments can be easy if you do some examples on your own. Obviously would rather be writing a paper.
