He cannot help you do any research, very busy with his factory position. He almost don't reply e-mail sent by students. His website claims he's doing VLSI research, but actually he had almost zero experience on complicated mixed IC design. Maybe he can teach well as a lecturer but sure not good as a researcher. His lab's resource also very limited

Hes got a dry humor that helps make the classes go quicker. The work and the labs are fairly straightforward while the exams can be challenging

avoid taking classes with him for the sake of your gpa. He's nice, his tests are not; He tests his undergrad students on material from the Masters class!? he will tell you what is on the test, and then the level of difficulty will far surpass what you have ever seen in his class; you have been warned. Smart teacher, unapologetically difficult.

given 30 guys like him, I could open up my own school across the street and run UB out of business. To date th best teacher I have had so far at UB. Go to the lectures there worth it. However, be scared of the exams.

Good professor, a lot better than some of the guys you'll get in EE. He has snide comments for people constantly, which makes the class fun, and as long as you do the HW you'll do well in the course.
