If you like to know what your grade looks like get ready cause you won't. He never posts anything online. The only thing he ever hands back are your tests, which are pretty hard. I had an A at the midterm and ended up with an A. So that was great. Expect to read the textbook a lot. Plus geology is just extremely boring. I don't recommend taking

I loved taking Dr. Dennis for GEOL 101/102. He calls himself Brother Dennis and he really makes you care about the material. For 102 definitely recommend taking 101 prior, but not mandatory. 102 is writing intensive and he makes you work for it with 5 papers, a journal, book discussions, and a cumulative final. Love the man. Love the class.

Professor Dennis is one of the best instructors at USC Aiken. He memorizes the names of everyone in his classes, gives great lectures with diagrams on the board, and makes hilarious jokes. You do have three field trips to go to and shouldn't miss any labs/lab quizzes, but his support and expertise as a professor makes it worthwhile.

I loved this class!!! You have to participate. You have to give up spring break. But it is so worth it. The scenery is amazing, like off a postcard. Our class ended up stranded by the bus and Dr. Dennis found us a place to stay and a way home. It was an amazing trip with one of the best teachers I have had in my time in college.

I started out dreading these classes, however this and 102 ended up being some of my favorite classes. His drawings are incredible and the field trips are so fun (even when they get derailed through vehicular issues). I would definitely take a class with him again, but sadly I am graduating in a few weeks!

I love Brother Dennis and have had him for two classes now. Physical Geology is hard because he wants you to understand it and it's important to keep up with the reading. Don't skip lab that's for sure; lecture not as important. Just give it your best and if you do not understand it form a study group.

Dr. Dennis really has a passion for his job. He teaches well, but it's at a level that can go way over your head. Geology 101 is a very hard and writing intensive course. You don't know if you'll get an A or an F on any assignment because everything is so vague. Half of the time I turned in work I had no idea about and got a decent grade.

Definitely a great professor. You will go into Geology giving quite literally ZERO care for the material...and by the end you might give at least one, and that's impressive considering it's essentially the study of rocks. He knows his material and so long as you do your part, you'll know it as well.

He is a good professor. However, this is a writing intensive class so be prepared to write a good deal. He expects you to read, remember, and apply what you have read during the assignments. The field trips are the best part. Also, he only gives you about a week or two in between each paper deadline. S you need to be quick on writing.

Amazing professor! Completely clear lectures, awesome field trips, and the man is hilariously funny. He is honestly my all time favorite teacher/professor ever. You must study for his class, but everything you need to know will be in the notes. The majority of his notes are hand-drawn pictures.

A great teacher and a great class. 'Brother Dennis' is a really laid back guy, and his class lectures are really straightforward and easy to sit through. Lab once a week is required, but it's actually kind of fun. The 3 field trips are really cool too. He's always open to questions and is always happy to help his students. Super teacher!

He simplified things much more than what they had to be. It shouldn't have been hard for anyone. The only way to not get an A is to not read the assigned pages and notes taken in class. The questions on his tests are straight from notes. He is very helpful, sometimes funny, and really laid back.

I have had a lot of teachers throughout the years, but this man is definately one of my favorites. He is more than fair in assinging grades, friendly, and very helpful. He made me enjoy science. I can't say I like the subject that much, but I always look forward to his classes. He's not easy, but he's not unduly difficult either.
