He seems nice at first, it is a facade. He'll ask class "Are you with me?" 10 times per day & It's the most annoying phrase because he literally could care less. His lectures are distracting and non-informative. Average midterm grade is 50 out of 140 points. Expect a C at best. He manipulates study guides to guarantee low grades. He is really bad.

This is one of the tougher classes you will take as an EE but is possible to pass with a good grade just get ready to work for it. He goes fast through the material but you can slow him down by asking questions but he'll put you on blast if you ask a dumb one. He's a good professor and knows his stuff. Pay attention to lecture and read the book.

One of the few professors that care. Go to his office hours and talk to him. He understands that you are taking many classes and that you are trying. He will also help you with any other classes or if you have questions. He helped me with my master plan even though he was not my professor.

He is not a good teacher and he is very difficult to deal with. His exams are really hard and he does not help you to prepare for them.

He goes through it fast cause he expects you to know E E 330. If you had the professors near these years, chances are you didn't learn much aside from what you can teach yourself. Only way to pass is constantly working on practice problems til you're a master at it. He's very clear when he answers, but he usually retorts with "You should've known"

Just to sum up what everyone is saying. This is a hard class. You really need to understand EE330 to be able to pass this class. Lectures are not very useful, Dr Szeto talks quickly and unless you have studied the material before class you won't understand. T-score is useful to get a C without much effort but makes getting an A difficult.

Lectures will confuse you, but the material is complex. Attend class, but be prepared to study and study some more outside of class. Powerpoints are too jam packed with information to be useful. Do the homework and highlighttab your book like crazy.

Dr Szeto is a good teacher but a bad person. It's hard to explain unless you know him, but he is extremely nasty at times for no good reason. However, if you study the book and do the work, you should be able to do well. I got an A and he didn't like me very much, so he is fair at least.

Avoid this teacher if you can! He has some very odd behaviors including insensitive remarks during class and favoritism towards certain students. If you must take this class and experience unfair treatment or any kind of harassment, let the Dean of engineering and your academic adviser be aware of it. It could be helpful for you.

The course work is very demanding. The T score is lame since only the top scores get an A. However for slackers it gets them through with a C. I put marginal effort and was able to get a B so its not rocket science. However, be prepared to spend a lot of time solving ee330 style designs. if you did poorly in 330 your in for a hell of a ride.

Let me share with you: If you loved EE 330, you actually do the HW and not copy it, you enjoy analyzing a circuit that is squeezed to fit a whole page in the book then you will do ok in class "not great" and what that means is "you are with me". If not then D is your eventual grade.

For A you have to beat the class, must understand circuits and how they work, his exams weed out those who do and don't get the chapters, overall the lectures aren't going to help most students, rely on self-comprehensive study of the textbook, homeworks, spice projects, very approachable for help, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!,get things done in advance

Since this class is usually offered every 2 years, I decided to take this class outta curiousity. Szeto's knowledge on Biomedical Engineering is massive. The first couple weeks of the class may seem more like an anatomy class than an EE Class. Midterms for this class is next to insane. There are is also a 13 page report. Good luck!
