I went into Orgo thinking it would be horrible, and I came out having fallen in love with it! She is so passionate about what she teaches and she does such a fantastic job of making a difficult course interesting, graspable and understandable. I came out of her lectures every day having actually enjoyed myself, which is so refreshing.

Professor is friendly. She gets very intense and goes very fast, sometimes makes it difficult to understand what we did in class. Also doesn't seem to understand we have other classes to study for. Book readings almost never matter, she bases most of her quizzes/exams off of what we do in lecture which makes it more difficult. Class is stressful.

Absolutely most amazing professor I have ever had for class at WNE. I love her and so do all of my friends. It is a lot of work. Organic chem is not easy unless you practice. She expects a lot from but if you need help she is always there for you. She answers her email almost 24/7 and will do anything her students need. Do problem sets to study!

this class is very challenging if you don't have a very strong background in general chemistry. she talks so fast that you don't have time to process something before she moves on. she's VERY intense but nice sometimes. Don't ask stupid questions in her class. she's very smart too but a little too smart. you don't need the book

Her class is very well taught and she knows the topics very well. She leaves a bit of a bias on her grading, so you may lose points if your wording isn't exactly as she wants it. She leaves you to guess what will be on problem sets, exams and quizes, and expects a lot from you. Very tough teacher.

She's amazing. She's tough but you learn so much at the end of the course. she really loves chemistry and you know it. Her exams are hard because you dont really know what she wants. Be prepared to work hard. The problem sets are pretty easy.

You will work hard with Doc Poirot, but it pays off. She gives many quizzes to help reinforce material, and her supplementary problem sets as well as practice problems from the book will help you assimilate the material. She will even tell you, organic chemistry is not hard, but it takes practice. She has such a passion for the subject. Take her!

I've had numerous classes with Doc P ranging from Gen Chem through Tox. Regardless of the course the student is pushed to learn, considerable effort is required but its appropriate for the course level. Intimidating at first but is really easy to speak to and ask questions of. If you want to retain information I suggest signing up for her classes.

She is awesome, even with her enthuiasm early in the morning. Knowlegdable and willing to help those who ask for help. She expects you to know the material not artifically learn it, which I am glad because I would not have made it through some of the jobs I had without her tricks and lessons. Keep up on the homework, find a group to study, ask questions in class and after and definitely get the modles in the bookstore and you will do well.
