Professor Brey knows his stuff and is eager to share his knowledge. Always willing to help his students understand the material, although, like Yuda, he may only guide you in the right direction.

Barry Brey is the best Intel microprocessor book writer who makes it easy for a dummy to understand what's going on inside the processor.

Sadly DeVry had let this guy go, he was a very good instructor. Although as mentioned, graded easy, no tests, quizzes, etc. He just got students interested, gave them loose objectives, and let them figure stuff. His books have provided great insight otherwise unavailable elsewhere.

He'll give you an A just for breathing, but the fact of the matter is: he's an excellent teacher. Unlike the chuckleheads at DeVry that think assigning tons of homework to us full-time workers, part-time students will somehow make us mental giants in academia, Brey actually makes you understand the material RIGHT THEN AND THERE, DURING CLASS!

This guy is very very smart. I wish I had him for the lab but not for the class... cause he gives a damn even less than the students. He simply does not care, no assignments just a couple very easy tests throughout each of his courses... I know nothing about micros though... ton of help in lab tho

Easy class. Too easy in fact. It should be harder. Goes off on tangents A LOT. We learn all kinds of things not related to Micro Periph. OLEDs, LCDs, OLEDs to name a few so far. Guy wrote the book we are using and knows all kinds of things. Very bright and willing to tell you everything he knows.

This man knows more about the Intel microprocessor than most people know about everything else combined! Listen to what he talks about and try your best to ask questions. He will always answer the questions, it can just be difficult to interpret answers

He is a great Professor and is highly intellegent. He has a wonderful personallity. I wonder if he shouldn't increase the difficulty of the classes though.
