She is very enthusiastic and definitely covers the material extremely well. Lots of quizzes and exams, but if you pay attention you will do fine! She has great energy but is sometimes a little much... Also, she tracks attendance so make sure you go!

Professor Elam is very energetic and makes the class fun. There's a lot of material covered, but it's fairly easy and she makes it interesting to learn; just a lot of memorization. She is funny and makes going to class enjoyable. The exams and papers are somewhat hard but she gives so many opportunities for extra credit.

Professor Elam has a fantastic personality. She is constantly upbeat, and while some may find this annoying, others seem to take well to it. Her grading system is very fair, as you have plenty of opportunities to do well in the class. Her papers require a lot of effort, so be prepared to put a lot of time in. Highly recommended!

Fantastic professor. Explains everything clearly and is very helpful to visual learners. A couple quizzes every 3 chapters or so, but they are not hard if you pay attention in class. Her tests are moderate as long as you study and know the material. Great attitude, extremely helpful. Defiantly devotes her times to the students. Take her if you can!

Not only did I enjoy the class but I personally believe that It should be required for all business students. The class was very good at preparing me to "sell myself" in interviews. I would recommend this class to any student considering it. Also, I think every marketing student needs 1 more Elam class before they graduate :)

She is a hyped up, fun little thing. Very experienced and willing to share to help learn material. We used printed out slide notes in class and study, and everything needed for tests is in the notes. Group project is cool, but make sure you choose a good group, or it can make things very hard. Still Loved this class!

Dr. Elam is a very good professor for marketing. She is well educated, and tries to make the class as fun as possible, however you may not like her if your not a morning person. She tends to be very hyper during class and thats with no caffeine in her. She warns you the day she has caffeine. An overall effective teacher. Hard exams though

Take Sales and Sales Management for your marketing elective. I got B's on the tests and got an A. There are a lot of pres. but it makes you feel more comfortable giving pres. in her class and other classes as well. (believe me!)Overall she is a good professor funny and makes the class interesting even though it was a night class it went by fast.

crazy teacher. always hopped up on caffeine. tests are directly from the slides so memorize them. 3 exams with optional final, takes three best exams, 12 or so quizzes. some are ridiculously hard, but some are easy. recommend to take her but not in the morning
