I was in the first class Bill taught at FSU (1978). I learned an immense amount from him, in fact so much that I did not assimilate it until after I left FSU. I've been a professional musician for nearly forty years now and I can say without any reservation what-so-ever that Bill supplied the solid groundwork I built my career upon.

Comment:

As long as you are on top of your stuff and don't disrespect music, Kennedy is a really cool guy. Don't get on his bad side! He can get sidetracked and is a bit of a goofball, but means well. His classes can be a drag depending on his mood, but overall has a lot of good things to say. He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

Jazz tech. class graduate class with undergraduates mixed in. Great Professor. Wrote my recommendations for a job and told me he appreciated my teaching methods, etc. Nice man, good teacher.

This guy is out to lunch. No clue of what's going on. Class is totally pointless and so is the teacher. Can't say that he really cares much about his students. Maybe they'll move his office outside under a big tree and he'll finally take the hint.
