Comment:

He rambles a lot in class and what he's saying does not especially matter, but as long as you do some of the work, he will give you a good grade. An easily approachable guy and loves to talk about what he knows. You do more learning in the readings than in actual class. Highly recommend him for an Easy A.

Comment:

It is not often that a professor is able to influence the way you perceive the world around you. Brian did this for me. He is the type of professor I will remember by name when I am telling stories to my grandchildren. I consider him a mentor more than a professor. If you are interested in spiritual growth, take Brian's class.

This class passed so slow. Who knew 75 minutes could take so long. The class is relatively easy, but Brian talks and talks and talks. Definitely not worth it merely for an elective.

In order to enjoy Brian's class, you absolutely must invest yourself everyday. He says that he will run it as a discussion class and it usually ends up that way, but for the first 2/3s of class, he usually talks and he's so knowledgeable and interested that he interrupts his own thoughts with other topics. But he's kind and also sort of a genius.

The best teacher at Ithaca College. What you learn from him goes far beyond what you learn in any other classes. A guide, a great listener, and he speaks words of wisdom as well. Take literally any class with him- you will not regret it unless you're very close-minded, and even if you are his classes will teach you how to open up.

Brian is less a lecturer than a guide. His breadth of knowledge and extraordinary enthusiasm combine to make him into a fantastic professor who has much to teach, but primarily wants others to question, discuss, and learn together, as a class, through readings and journals. Always kind, interested, and helpful (in all 3 of the classes I have had).

So Smart. Many times he would talk the whole class after saying " I don't want to spend too much time on this but for historical context you should know..." Very interesting class, provided you keep up with the work theres very little aside from the reading. You will learn a lot. Very understanding with deadlines. Recommended

Very smart. knows whats he is talking about inside and out. I took religion and society with him and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. There's a lot of reading but the class discussions are great. I rarely said much in class, but looked forward to being there all the time. He makes sure to everyone by their first name which is nice
