Fictorie is a great professor. He has a unique structure for Chem-212 specifically that was less about lectures and more about doing work outside of class. If you need help, he is very helpful. If you are not willing to put in extra effort, however, you should consider not taking the class because it may be more difficult.

Dr. Fictorie is helpful when you ask for help. He will only help you if he knows you are working for it. He has tried different teaching styles in his different classes, but I enjoyed this one the most, especially because it was a small class. He is very smart and funny if you take the time to talk to him.

Fictorie give you help if you ask for it. There is very little teaching done by him. I worked in groups all semester that spent each class period working in a work book. Help is there if you ask but I did not enjoy his teaching style. If you take his class be prepared for Sapling assignments that are enormous.

He was an excellent professor who took the time to explain things to you if one took the time to ask. I learned a great deal in the class. His teaching method was pretty good, could have been better without assigning groups to learn in. I give him a 4 or a 5.

Regardless of what he talks about in class, he expects you to know all the material in the book. I learned little from attending his lectures. But his labs were very productive. He's very willing to help outside of class. Great advisor.

Sounds like Mr. Mackey from South Park, and is about as interesting. I learned 100% of the material from the book, skipped four of the classes, did other homework during the classes I did attend, and still got an A. No complaints though.

I found that he was much more in his prime in the upper level classes. He was also an excellant advisor. The lower level chem is hard to judge on because of the broad range of people's backgrounds

He's actually a funny guy and nice despite what you've heard. He's a little annoying with his laser pointer. He wants you to suceed in his class and is really enthused about Chemistry. He'll occasionally blow things up in class which is always fun.
