This class is horrible and incredibly boring. Take it if you would like to talk about commas for an hour and a half.I learned nothing and she grades you based on how she thinks you should write. The syllabus is unclear and she only gives you a letter grade and no points for anything. Absolutely horrible. Do. not. take. this. class.

To be completely blunt...she sucks. She keeps us in class even after clearly finishing her lesson plans. Shes impossible to please with paper grading, shes so weird and tries too hard to be funny. Pointless class, i learned about as much as i did in 8th grade english class. waste of my life and killed my gpa. dont take her!

She is an awful professor. I learned absolutely nothing in her class. She rambled on about things that didn't matter and if you ask a question about something she will not try and understand you. What she says always has to be right. Overall this class was pointless for me. Her grading is ridiculous! I would avoid her at all costs.

Comment:

One of the greatest professors I have experienced. She reminded me of a caring mother- wanting each of us to reach our highest potential in our writing and developing our reading for greater thought skills. If you put in the time - so will she. Plenty of busywork - but due dates are fair and so is her grading. We even had a class picnic. Take her!

Dr. Graham is a good professor. She is very passionate about what she teaches, in this case, poetry. She assigns a number of poems every night and discusses them the next day. Pretty easy class. A few reaction papers, a midterm (take home) and a final (also take home).

If you like poetry and a lot of pop quizzes, go ahead and take her. Otherwise you'll be in for a semester of pain. VERY BORING CLASS. One of the worst English classes I've ever had. Way too many pop quizzes that are hard even if you did the reading.

I liked this class. It could get borinig sometimes and I didn't like it when she made us do group work but I thought the class was easy. You just have to do the readings, and I found it helpful to take notes. Several quizzes, the mid term and final are both essays.

This professor was wonderful, and after reading the other descriptions of her, I was surprised to find some people thinking she was less than terrific. She is a tough grader, but is very willing to help you acheive a good grade through revisions, so if you don't get a decent grade, it's your fault.

I wasn't a huge fan of poetry before this class and now I can safetly say I will never be. She is a nice person (a little wierd) but the class is really really boring. I mean unless you're REALLY into poetry be prepared to suffer for a semester of reading something you won't understand...at all.

Very nice lady, always willing to help, good sense of humor, grades somewhat difficult- but just more challenging, periods seem sort of wasted-most of work is papers. No tests/quizzes. Presentations easy and informal. Many outside readings of essays-becomes exhausting. Overall, highly recommended.

Very very very nice woman. While she isn't the most interesting person to listen to, she's always willing to help you and honestly cares about you and your writing. She has really good intentions, and I really liked her as a person, although she could improve as a professor.
