Comment:

I've taken Bast for 3 classes and enjoyed all of them. There are 6 tests and one presentation for the entire semester. Lectures are all cases presented by students. They can get kind of boring but if you don't plan on studying the cases on your own time, definitely go to class. She is very lenient on the presentation and helps you through it.

Super easy A. However, if you are wishing to go to law school I would not advise. You basically do all the assignments in class together. Quizzes are from the book but you can just skip to the chapter summary portion and you'll be fine. Be warned if you deviate from how the class did the assignment you might get docked. Grading is very subjective

Dr. Bast is an easy A/B if you study the hell out of the book, since the tests are completely based on them. If you can commit to studying you don't need to go to class. However, Bast is pretty entertaining and drops some helpful tips during the in-class presentations, so going to class is a good idea. Presentation itself is very easy, don't stress

great class the exams are easy as long as you come to class and take good note. We basically tells you everything you need to know for the exam its up to u to put in the work there is an exam about every two weeks but there aren't any papers so it kind makes up for it. Best prof I've every taken

Worst class I've ever taken. Her test questions are not based on facts but her own OPINIONS on cases, so good luck studying. Most unhelpful, egotistical, unclear teacher I've ever encountered. Lectures put you to sleep. Not even sure she was a lawyer, doesn't know answer to majority of student questions. My best legal advice: avoid this teacher!

Good professor and knowledgable about her field. She wrote the book soo… The class is straightforward if you read and listen to what she says is important in class. The tests are not hard, just do the reading and show up to class. The (student) cases are hard to hear, but just highlight the holdings and you'll be fine!

By far the most boring class, I have ever taken!!!!! She doesn't really teach, she puts you in groups at the beginning of the semester and assigns you to cases and literally all we do all semester long is have classmates present the cases and after we are done with 2 chapters we take the test! Th test are hard! NEVER TAKE HER!

The Law and Legal Systems class is overall an easy A when it comes to Bast. She has a presentation in class that is worth 10% of your grade. When you present, you get full credit. Then there are 6 tests. The final exam is the 6th test. They are overall easy, as long as you read the textbook and understand what is written.

This is by far the most boring class that I have ever taken!! The whole class is just student presentations on cases. There are 6 tests which are difficult and your presentation grade. Bast is not very helpful. I would stay away from this class!

ok so for the student presentations are difficult cuz they r boring and sumtimes you dont understand what the student is saying. the class is fun tho and bast is a nice and happy professor which is refreshing. there are a few trick questions on the exam so watch out but if you study then ull know the ricky 1's

Just finished my 3rd Bast class and I still love her teaching style. She basically does most of the work for you but you actually learn how to do it instead of screwing it up and receiving a bad grade. Assignments can be tedious but definitely not bad. She is hilarious and you will usually enjoy going to class!

Dr. Bast is pretty easy. There are 6 tests and it gets pretty annoying. Come to class, brief the cases, study the vocab and you'll have no trouble at all. You will learn a lot of basic material about the legal system. Not a hard class at all and Dr. Bast can be funny once in a while.

Professor ast is the best. She knows her material very well. She is highly intelligent and scholarly, with a great sense of humor. She is challenging but always willing to help her students to master the material. She is hot and beautiful, I loved her and her style. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to pursue a law career. I miss her.

Dr. Bast is a very considerate professor, my only complaint might be that she is a little too easy. Your grade is based on research assignments. Go to class, she goes over how to do these assignments in detail! It is hard not to get an A in this class as long as you do the assignments and turn them in on time(she gives you two bonus points).

If you are looking for an easy class, this is certainly it. As long as you can do an assignment on time and hand it in personally, you are guaranteed to do well. Just never turn in anything too early, she will lose it. And if you have a question about the assignment, don't worry. She doesn't care as long as you do citations correctly.
