She's a wonderful teacher. She provided a learning environment that was both structured and conducive to creativity. Never did I feel I was at risk of being ridiculed or embarrassed. It is truly a shame she is retired now. The SRJC has lost a great teacher.

I loved her as a teacher she is very demanding but if you do your work then it doesn't matter. She does call on students a lot but she wants the whole class to engage in the conversations and know their opinions. I just think if you do all our work you will be fine and you will also like her!

I came to class everyday intimidated because she would ALWAYS randomly call on people and single out those who don?t know the right answer. She was extremely explosive when she felt a student was disagreeing with her. Overall, she was fairly interesting when she was in a good mood, but those times were few and far between.

Ms. C substituted for our class for about 2 months and it was the most agonizing 2 months of my life. She was disrespectful and degraded the students. She treated all of us like children instead of adults. I would not recommend her class, she is a horrible teacher who deoesnt appriciate her students opinions.

she took over for mrs.bogomolny for quite a while & the class was miserable! so very RUDE. NOT patient. treats everyone as if they are stupid and when one doesnt know the answer to a question she freaks out. DO NOT recommend her

Carol is a fantastic teacher! She does not tolerate goof-offs, so pay attention and make an effort. Absolutely available whenever I've needed to speak to her about something. She is demanding, which is what makes her a good teacher.

I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about taking this class but I think it was a fair & almost easy class. Do the reading & all the papers (if she gives you the chance of a rewrite then take it!- I didn't when I easily could've n it pulled my grade down to a B). I'm an English major who somehow managed to accumulate all my required English transfer credits except for 1B, so I had to take this class. Keeping this in mind, I found the class to be completely dull, repetitive, and unclear. She also refuses to consider alternate meanings of a text - very irritating. Nice though, for the most part.

Very poor teacher. She is very nice, very articulate, however she is also disorganized and bad at delegating assignments. Very bad use of time during semester. Boring because every class is structured identically. Very loose assignments. Assignments and readings did not correlate or flow. I'm afraid I was quite disappointed witht the class.
