She is a really good professor but she talks really quiet so sit near the front. The quizzes and asynchs aren't that bad as long as you put in a little effort, but the exams are pretty tough so you have to put in a little more effort for them

Studying for an exam? Good luck. Her slides move faster than the students heads before they fall asleep. The lecture material is dry, and she gets lost in tangents completely unrelated to the to the topic at hand. Truly and agonizing experience.

I had Dr. Salus for Art History 1. The class was fairly easy & her TAs did a lot of the work for her. You can tell she really loves the subject but she gets really distracted easily & tends to ramble & repeat the same things over & over. Make sure you attend the small group stuff otherwise you won't know what is the most important info for tests.

She's an easy A. Tests can be hard, but if you do the reading you'll be fine, and between the small group stuff, asynch assignments, and the tons of extra credit opportunities you can bomb a test and still get a good grade. She can be a little disorganized and spacy, but she's a good lecturer and clearly cares about what she talks about.

She is a great professor and knows almost everything about this subject. During class there may be a few technical issues but other than that it is a great and easy class.

She is a great professor. I came to her and explained that I wouldn't get into my major unless I got an A and she was very helpful. She even found time in to tutor me. There were also many oppurtunites for extra credit. Salus also makes sure that her slides and clear and reviews lectures a lot.

She is nice and wants you to pass. She'll often get side tracked, her lectures tend to ramble, and her power points are huge but full of a ton of unnecessary info. She will make an effort for you to know what she wants you to know and tests are not too bad. Just readstudy you'll be fine. I finished with over 100 percent.

Her tests are pretty specific and can contain random questions that don't have to do with the subject matter. She seemed like a nice person though and willing to help. I skipped the majority of the lectures and passed with an A.

Dr. Salus was good for Art History I. Quizzes and asynchronous assignments are online, and if you read and can pass the quizzes and attend at least the small group lectures (and actually participate), you can definitely get a good grade in the class. the textbook is totally necessary, and so is reading the chapters. Study hard for exams.

Her powerpoints are all over the place, and therefore so are her lectures. She knows what she's talking about though. As long as you pay attention, take decent notes, and do the homeworks you will do fine. Very easy AB.

There is two parts of the class. A discussion which is really important, and lecture which is not as much. I did not enjoy the class. It was not exciting. A little on the boring side. I think anyone can get through it.

Great and easy class. All homework assignments, quizzes and exams are online. Attendance is mandatory once a week, but I recommend going to every lecture. Pay attention, and you will do fine. Dr. Salus is very passionate about art history, and she is willing to help and answer questions.

Dr. Salus is nice but I don't feel like she does much to help her students learn or understand the material. She sends out lots of emails filled with material for us to read on our own, which is fine, but she doesn't really teach me anything new in class. She just reads through a powerpoint unenthusiastically. She's a nice lady, not a great prof.

Is a very nice person in general. You may seem overwhelmed at first with the requirements of the class, but honestly it's just busy work. She doesn't know how to use technology very well and tends to repeat herself in lecture. Tests/quizzes aren't bad if you read the chapters and go to lecture. Overall not bad at all.

She's a nice lady. Her class can get boring though. And she absolutely hates when she sees people talking or txting. She will call you out in the middle of class & tell you to stfu. Tests are easy if you attend class--which I would recommend over reading.

Clueless. Not interesting. Trys to make everythingseem more interesting than it really is, but fails miserably. Tests are pretty easy if you show up and listen in class. Doesnt know how to use technology.

She is a great teacher, and knows exactly what she is talking about when it comes to art history. However, she is completely clueless about technology & will persistently ask for help. It's a great class & the tests are usually easy since she provides a study guide. Using the "slide guides" definitely helps!

Pretty easy class, agreed, she can be kinda clueless. She talks about a lot of irrelevant stuff that isn't on the test though, but she does send out a study guide at the beginning of each unit and has the readings in the syllabus which makes it very easy to study for.
