Dr. Myers is great at what he does. If you have prior interest in philosophy, this class will surely be easier for you than for students w/ no interest who take the class thinking it will be an easy A (no.) Still, though, do the extra credit and the assignments and you will pass (I'm kicking mself for not doing the extra cs even though I got an A!)

I'd recommend this class to anyone who needs to fulfill the SATC credit. You only speak once in front of the class and get to choose your topic (no wrong answers). 2 essay exams and a final paper, but it's impossible to fail unless you don't take notes or listen. Plenty of extra credit opportunities, so it's impossible to fail the class!

The class is easy if you take notes. You don't have to really read, unless you want to give input. Also, attendance isn't that import. We only wrote 3 papers, 2 take home and 1 in class. He moved the dates a lot but accepted late work without deducting points if they were turned in the next day.

People say that it's annoying that he constantly goes in circles with his lectures, they obviously don't comprehend how philosophy works. It's about the idea of good, and people just have different opinions. When you're sure of an idea and believe its right, he will change that view point with another idea, circles? No, the point is people think.

Provides good notes on chapters and ideas covered. Very passionate about the course. Seems like a very sweet guy. My only regret is that I took the online course. I'm sure his lectures were wonderful. Do the assignments and you can't fail.

Dr. Myers is a really nice guy and truly wants all of his students to learn and do well. What a boring class though. Some topics were interesting but most were outright absurd. Believe me, I am definitely intelligent and love to think, but to enjoy this class you have to enjoy thinking in circles about questions that will never be answered.

AMAZING professor. Seems like he knows everything there is to know about philosophy, and will blow your mind if you pay attention. Three 1,100 word papers due, graded very leniently. He cares more about you understanding the material and applying it to your life than cramming tests down your throat. Will DEFINITELY be taking him for Ethics.

Myers is an AMAZING teacher and his class is an easy A. Had him for both philosophy and ethics. You have three 1100 papers to write the whole semester and he gives you plenty of time to do them and they are all at home. Extremely easy class. No way you shouldnt at least come out with at least a B!

Dr Myers makes philosphy interesting and even fun. He makes you think! If you go to class and take notes you don't even really need the book. Papers (exams) are all take home and he gives plenty of time. He tells you exactly what he expects. Exams come from recent newspaper/magazine articles and you apply what you've learned. A+ teacher in my book!

Had the online fast track course. Very lenient prof. and knowledgeable Honestly there is a lot of reading (I skimmed) 3 papers (1100+ words apiece). Made an A, but I worked 6+ hours on the papers. I would suggest you take this prof for Philosophy, I heard for better results to take him in class, but for an easy grade take the fast track online.
