Exams are too long to take in one sitting, but I actually learned from this man a lot more than any other class I've taken. He forces you to understand the material and prepares you for later the classes. Hes rough, but not impossible. Read the text book and you'll pass fine.

Do these three things and you'll get a good grade: 1.) do the homeworks, they're very similar to his exams. 2.) take comprehensive notes, do this and you've passed the exams cuz they're open note and open book. 3.) Participate and ask questions or else he'll assume you've mastered the material. Stop whining people. This class is passable.

THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE. He mumbles the information while he stares at the ground and if you dare ask a question he will give you a snide, condescending response. His tests are impossible as are his meaningless assignments where he expects us to be excel geniuses. He HATES himself and truly wants to watch students fail.

The reason people dont like wilf is that he gives too much info and its hard to study for the test. He also come across as dry and rude. However, I looked forward to the class because he's not like other professors. Hes not going to sugarcoat things to make you happy. Hes very passionate and knowledgeable in economics and stats

Wilf is a terrible teacher. I'm currently way behind in his stats class because HE SIMPLY CANNOT TEACH! This isn't a vendetta against him as a person but avoid his class AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. No text book so you can't even teach yourself material. He puts slides up but doesnt teach material on them. You spend your time studying for all of the wrong things because he doesnt tell you the articles on the exam. Exams are almost impossible. Good luck.

Pay attention in class. Take really good notes. Do the homework and ASK ABOUT it or he will at best skim through it and at worst skip it entirely. The onus is on YOU in this class. His tests generally resemble notes and HW, but he will make you derive some of the values you would normally be given which can lead to major point losses on tests.

Rude, condescending, stubborn. Unfair grading policies, mediocre lectures. Thinks he's funny, sometimes he is. My only positive comment would be how good he is at finding real-life instances of his material - he's great at showing you where it's applicable. He's just really bad at showing you how to do it.

Hands down one of the WORST professors I've ever had at Duq. He's rude, makes things four times more difficult that necessary, and doesn't care much about what you think. All his tests and quizzes are open book, but don't be surprised when you fail anyways. Avoid him at all costs. You won't regret not taking him!!

Best part of class was his repetition of his karate moves. As far as actually learning, that will not happen in his class. DOn't ask a question unless you plan on being demeaned. "That was your question?!?!"
