I liked this professor because he had a good sense of humor and was very helpful. He offers a book review for 20 extra points. I only took 2 tests and then the final. TAKE THE ESSAY, NOT THE OBJECTIVE. The objective tests ALWAYS get lower scores than the essays.

This class is really easy. Your entire grade comes from three tests, and you have the option of taking an essay or objective test. The essays are given at least a week ahead, so you can just memorize them and rewrite them on the test. If you go to class and take good notes, you'll do fine.

I think Schnell was a great professor and I learned many things from him. It's not easy by any means, but you only have to work hard 3 times a semester. It is very possible to get an A in his classes if you go to all the classes and take notes.

These other people who rated Schnell could not have tried very hard. He gives you essay tests and he gives you the questions a week or so in advance. Write your essay and remember it then write it word for word from memory on test day. Thats it.

I adored schell. He is a cute little old guy and he knows EVERYTHING about american history, it is so impressive. The grading is a little scary, but if you work hard on the tests you get a good grade.

Easy class! If you bust your tail on the essay tests three times during the semester, he will give you a good grade. And if you still need it, there is extra credit. This guy is all lectures, and he is fun and has good personal skills. Be warned though, this dude is an old school professor.

I had Professor Schnell for Presidential and Urban History and found him to be very informative and helpful during the beginnings of my graduate studies. Good sense of humor, but never seemed to be able to keep up the pace to the schedule he set at the beginning of the class.
