Ok. The book is mandatory because I felt the lecture / powerpoints did not go into enough detail and didn't like the organization of them.. The video clips to compliment the lecture didn't really help with the content except questions on the tests include what was on the videos. I don't agree he was boring .Management portion was great

He gives you the answers to all the quizzes for his section so don't have to worry about the quizzes, just show up and you most likely will get 20/20 on all the quizzes. he gives you a study guide and just study the underlined stuff most likely will be on the exam. boring lecture makes you want to fall asleep. you don't need to buy the textbook.!!

He lies in class about his personal life to appear interesting. He is a horrible public speaker. There are some days he will just lash out at people. He's just not a good instructor.

Such a boring lecturer, he always made me want to sleep. His voice is so soft so you have to actively listen. Don't bother buying the textbook. His powerpoint slides are all you need to study off of for his section. Nice guy.

I really Professor Gowen's teaching style. He adds some humor into the mix to try and keep things light. The material wasn't hard as long as you pay attention in class and start the exam study guides early.

It is tough to keep your eyes open during his part of the lecture. His exam section is not bad though. Pay attention to underlined text in the PowerPoint. He is not very approachable.

I personally did not care for his teaching methods, shows many videos and has random clicker quizzes of which he usually gives the answers. Only study the underlined portions of his review slides for the tests and you'll be more than prepared for his part! Worry about the other sections of UBUS310!

Easiest section for 310. Has the best study guides and you only need to remember the underlined parts. He gives quizzes randomly, but most likely will ask who wants the answers then giggle. Get used to the giggling because he does it a lot. Do not even bother emailing if you have questions he won't help.

Soft but clear voice, seems like a nice guy. His study guides is the most simplest/straight to the point one, compared to the other professors guides. Moderate difficulty exam questions. Take every extra credit he gives+ethics quiz+last day 10 pt quiz+anything else! And plz max every professors quiz score, if your a normal person you will NEED IT!

He seems like a nice old grandpa type professor but he doesn't help his students at all as far as grading goes. As the technical "head" of the class he could offer more extra credit but doesn't. Also he doesn't grade for attendence.

Attend all lectures and take advantage of all extra credit opportunities. Had 7 exams and I got failed all but two and got a C. This class is hard and is used to weed out students. Dr Gowen is softspoken and fair. His lectures are a little boring. This class is taught by 3 other professors. One for each functional area; Mgmt, Fina, OPS and MKTG.

Was worried about 310 coming into in because of the horror stories ive heard. By the second test i barely studied and missed about half of total class extra pts and i still got a comfortable C. If I knew how easy it would be i could have gotten an easy B with minimal effort. JUST GO TO CLASS and dont miss quiz pts. also take advantage of 20ex pts

Prof. Gowen speaks very softly so he can be difficult to understand. On the plus side his quiz points are very easy to get as long as you show up to class. His part of the exams come straight from his study guides.

Not exactly enthusiastic but he is pretty straight forward. If you attend his lectures, copy the notes, and study the guide you will ace his section on every exam. He doesn't sneak in any random questions so just follow his study guide.
