He's actually one of the best professors I ever had. Makes math really clear and he's the most patient person you'll ever meet. He's also hilarious and makes class really interesting if you're paying attention and he has a real passion for math.

His lectures are slightly slow, but he does go in-depth with the lessons to ensure that we understand them. He assigns homework (not graded) and study guides to prepare us for the midterms and final (graded). He also offers extra credit problems, which are hard but applicable to lessons taught. As long as you study and do homework, you should pass.

Amazing once again! I had him before for Differential Equations and he's a real gem! Really knows his stuff and provides many opportunities for extra credit. Show up, do your homework (even if it's not due), take notes, and you'll pass!

Super easy. You have to not try in order to fail this class. Keep up with the homework, take notes, and show up. You'll pass through this class once you do all three. The lectures are pretty intriguing as he goes through the applications of each concept in math and explains why it's relevant as well as why it works! Very knowledgeable and nice

DOCTOR HO IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER AT EVC!DR. HO REALLY WANTS YOU TO GRASP ONTO THE MATERIALS AND APPLY THEM. CURRENTLY TAKING HIS MATH 73 & 78 CLASS AND ITS CHANGING MY LIFE! I don't think you even need to attend the lectures. As long as you get the study guides and do the problems, the tests will be really easy. No homework required and he gives you extra credit questions. I basically slept in his class and passed with a 96%. EZPZ

Dr. Ho is actually not a bad teacher. As long as you pay attention to the lecture, you'll get the gist of how to do the homework. Also, the exams are based off most of the homework so I recommend doing it even though it's not required. He loves to tell jokes and knows the lecture by heart but makes mistakes, so be sure to point them out.

Prof. Ho IS THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR I EVER HAD. Very helpful, in and out of the class. He will do anything to try to help you. I enjoyed going to his class every time. If you study hard and do your hw, you will atleast get a B. You have to put in an effort if you want that A, but you do learn alot from him. Got an A in both classes. Study hard!

known around evc for being tough, and since I needed to take 78, i decided to see for myself. Guess what people, he is NOT hard. Obviously students don't want to try lately and just expect free rides. DO your HW and you will be just fine. Before exams he gives you a nice outline on what he will test you on. Reconsider majors if you can't pass him.

Calculus III - My grade was a "C",but it was the best hard earned C I have ever gotten in my CCs.I failed the first exam,and many students had dropped afterwards,but I stayed and continued to work hard on the next exams,and managed to raise my grade up. He may be an MIT grad,nor does he curve,but deep down he is a nice guy.I'm happy I took him :)

I love this professor, he knows the subject matter well.He boost my interest on maths. He shows me how to do maths as a fun(game). Very understandably when student get trouble (tension) personally, I highly recommend other students to take his class.

Tests are hard based on the difficult hw problems. No notes on first test and 2nd &3rd test you can only use 3-5 card. Writes in cursive and small hard to understand what he says so I recommend you sit up front. Lectures are organized and easy to follow. Practice is key to doing well in this class do hw ask questions.

He's known throughout the campus for being the most difficult math professor at EVC. In my opinion, best math teacher I have ever had. He taught me how to think my way through problems rather than just plug and chug professors. Slackers, don't even bother, you won't last past the first exam. Differential equations with him is fun but a lot of work.

Great teacher. Knows his stuff and genuinely cares about his students. He doesnt even lecture from notes! Crazy guy memorizes all his notes and when you compare it to the text its extremely accurate! He single handedly wrote down Pi to the 40th decimal place without error. However, not a class for slackers, do your homework! Tests are based off HW.

Definitely knows his subject. Taking Discrete Math with him. Accent is atrocious which is very difficult in a math class that requires words and not numbers to solve problems. Pay attention in class, take notes, read book, do hw. Definitely not a class for slackers.

He is great at teaching Calculus, but his Diff. class is a bit hard and dry. If you're going to transfer to SJSU, just wait and take Prof. Schmeichel's Class there. Dr. Ho is an awesome Calculus Teacher tho.
