Professor Morris is a genuine teacher who truly cares about the students and is very passionate about what he teaches! The class I took was 2 hours (honors class), but it was never too boring and he never ran out of anything to discuss.

Professor Morris always makes class very interesting. The books that he assigns are engaging, enjoyable and informative. His lectures and class discussion are also very investing. I learned so much about early American history that I had not known before and am so glad that I took the class.

Professor Morris is a wonderful. The class studied the Civil War through lectures, interesting and relevant books , and film. Professor Morris gave though provoking and insightful lectures. In addition to lectures, he encouraged class discussion. One thing that I found extremely helpful was that he would provide prep work for the discussions.

Professor Morris is great! I always look forward to going to his classes. To beginning with, he teaches about extremely interesting and exciting topics and on top of that he is a fantastic and enthusiastic professor! His lectures are amazing and he is always able to start engaging class discussions. He tries to get everyone involved. Oneofthebest!

Professor Morris is amazing! He was always able to spark engaging, lively and intellectual class discussions. Even though it was a seminar course with very few lectures he is a wonderful lecturer! Professor Morris is also incredibly helpful both inside and outside of class. He genuinely cares about his students. My love for history dramatically...

Prof. Morris definitely knew what he was talking about and can give good lectures however, his class can get very boring..he also has favorites and can make it obvious at times...he can also be a particularly tough grader depending on the student...lots of reading and you're going to have to work very hard for the grade

Prof. Morris is absolutly the most amazing Professor! I went to Manhattanville for my under grad and am now receiving my Masters from there so I know what I'm talking about!I have taken almost every class that Professor Morris teaches at M-ville and each class has been better than the next! His lectures are captivating, readings are relevant!

Professor Morris is a mixed bag. On one hand, he clearly knows what he's doing and lectures with the type of conviction you would expect from a College Professor. On the other hand, he's prone to not always grade objectively or impartially. In other words, Morris grades YOU rather than the work you hand in, which is quite unprofessional.

Very good with words. Knows a lot of information on the books being read. So far he doesnt pick on anyone in class but you should know somewhat of what you were suppose to read the night before.MANY PEOPLE HAD TROUBLE KEEPING UP WITH THE READING.HE MADE A 4+ PAPER DUE ONE DAY WITH 120PGS OF READING DUE THE SAME DAY.HE GAVE THE ASSIGNMENT A WEEK BEFORE...SOMETHING I DONT LIKE. other than that, hes a professor that explains things through and gets really into the book. Very in-depth with the understanding.

Missed and canceled class a million times. As long as a few ppl had read and could keep an active convo. in class, he was happy. Would give a clear outline of the book that you were supposed to read, so you are fine if you actually didnt. But careful, cuz if he notices that ppl arent reading, he will spring a difficult quiz. Very picky with the papers. Wants quotes and clear, in-depth writing in all of them.
