She seems like a nice person but I hated her class. Everything was basically word from word from the power points that she provided before class. There are a lot of essays and she assigns a big one at the end of the semester with no notice and a small time limit. Also, I do not understand her grading at all. I would recommend avoiding.

She's a very good teacher and quite clear on expectations. Her slides are accessible online, but going to class really provides clarity and makes the tests extremely easy. Definitely would recommend.

Show up, take the tests, write the papers, sort of read the books, recieve A. Kinda common sense more than anything else. She is a nice teacher, a little dry and outdated but still genuinely nice. When contacting her personally she was very happy to give help and ideas. Fair warning though, the class is boring.

One of the hardest classes. Expect it to be your life. A paper due in each class and take home essay test (extremely hard grader). OVer all interesting and make sure you do reading bc class has a lot of discussions. Smartest professor I have ever had.

Wow, Dr. Dunn. The material was interesting but her lecture was sooo boring. You have to write tons of papers and she has this quirk where she makes us move the desks all over the place before class so we sit in a circle...to listen to her lecture. makes no sense.

Lectures were annoying and I had no idea what I was going to need to remember from them. I am a good writer, but didn't do well on papers because she took points off for absolutely ridiculous things (mostly just her own opinions). I LOVE japanese history and culture, but ended up dropping this class.

She is an amazing teacher and really gets you involved and makes you think. She is very good at making things stick in your head, she wants you to succed, but she grades papers kinda hard, but if you pay attention in class the tests are fairly easy!

I Hate this Teacher! I'm working my butt off in the class and still doing badly. Her lectures are long and just to waste time, a major paper, and take home exams. Nothing makes her happy, she is so busy checking periods she misses real errors. She is more of a Grammer Prof than anything. She is Horrid over all!

Lots of reading, and Two papers over the reading. Two tests and the final. Tests aren't hard, they're pretty easy actually..1/2 short answer. Good and interesting class. Don't have to work THAT hard to get an A. Recommended!!

AWESOME teacher!She is very clear and knows what she is talking about. Many books to read and papers to write but very easy tests. If you are willing to work hard, there is no way u can't get an A in her class!
