He has a lot of experience with practicing law, so he is full of great stories. He's a really funny guy and a kind person. He bought the whole class pizzas after the final. Not too difficult and I thought he made the topics entertaining.

Unbelievably easy. Did not show up to class and did well, also didnt learn much though. Quizzes, Midterm, and part of final were online. Inclass final was 10 multiple choice questions. Finished with an A-, but got an A after asking and was given an essay to write to boost my grade.

Have taken for several classes. Makes it as easy as possible to get an A. Likes to have engaging discussions and is FULL of dad jokes! As nice as can be. Most tests are online or take home and everything is from lecture notes, which are always available online.

Comment:

Professor Korman is the best! He gives great lectures and explains everything thoroughly. He gives lots of examples and situations to help clarify the concepts on a situational basis. Only a midterm and final, and both are open notes and super easy if you go to class. I will take professor Korman any chance I can. He is the man!

He's a really nice guy who is always there to help you out. He doesn't want to see anyone do poorly, so if you put in the effort you will do well. Lectures can be a little long but he is constantly making jokes to keep you awake!

If you are at all interested in Criminal Law, this class is fantastic. Very thought-provoking and entertaining lectures. It is also extremely easy to do well. Grading basically consists of a midterm and a final, both of which are online (and collaborative if you want). Korman is more than fair with grading and a genuinely nice and likable guy.

Loved taking Intro to CrimLaw, lectures are long but always tells interesting stories related to the crime we'll learn, has though provoking lectures. Very helpful if you needed more clarification and takes time/cares about his students. Midterm and final are take-home & collaborative, few online quizzes. Honestly one of my favorite professors ever

He is the best professor I've had. He structures the course so students have every opportunity to succeed. He is also a genuinely nice person. He takes an interest in his students and is more than willing to help with any issue, academic or personal. I just can't say enough about how wonderful of a person and professor he is.

David Korman is quite possibly the single nicest person you'll ever meet. Class was always laid back, which is great for a night class. However, you'll want to attend since the classes are always interesting, both because he has great stories, and discussions are always interesting.Easy exams.I've taken 4 classes with him so far-hopefully more soon

korman was literally the BEST professor i have ever had. i learned a lot, the tests were easy, and he was SOO accessible. he always got back to me super quickly and he clearly cares about the field and his students. his lectures were always engaging and he loves participation. amazing teacher and man in general.

Korman has the biggest heart of any professor I have ever had at Pitt. Easy tests, & no need for the book or attendance, but I tried to go because he's really funny & interesting (great stories).
