Comment:
Dr. Marr comes off as very strict and uncaring in the beginning of MEB, but gets more tolerant as the semester goes on. He's a very good lecturer and explains things clearly, however, the class is somewhat difficult. I'd say it's about the same level of difficulty as Phys I or II at Mines. You learn a lot, but have to work for it.

Very fair class set up, homework sets you up for the quizzes and the quizzes set you up for the tests. Overall, he's a great professor who wants to see you succeed, which is great for such a hard subject like thermo. 10/10, would recommend.

Dr. Marr is tough and if you don't do the homework or pay attention in class, you won't pass. He is fair when it comes to tests, I have gotten points back through petitioning via writing. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS, you won't regret it.

One of the best profs I have here at Mines. Just because the subject matter is difficult does not indicate a poor teaching ability. He was availible for scheduled office hours everytime and did an excellent job of out of class instruction.

He was very difficult, but he really tested your problem solving ability. Also, he kept you interested. He was sort of an SOB, but that doesn't mean he wasn't an awesome teacher.
