Comment:
I've had MANY classes with Professor Pierson (he's the only one teaching the film and video classes I'm most interested in.) His classes are project heavy, extremely time demanind, and he's the toughest grader I've had. Where another professor would give an A with rave reviews, you'll get a B or a C with Pierson.

Professor Pierson can be a bit boring at times, but the subject matter is not very lively to begin with. He tries his best to make it interesting, however, by using videos and photographs. I believe that he knows what he's doing and enjoys his job. He cares.

Don't take this class your last semester. My interest in this class and instructor were influenced by the fact I just wanted the semester to end. Very helpful instructor, but the class was dreadfully boring.

I didn't care for his Media Criticism class b/c it focused only on TV, and primarily sitcoms. The class has since changed to TV Criticism, which makes little sense to me since its the core class for the Media Criticism concentration. I was much, much, much happier with his video production class. I really learned a lot. He's very organized, too.

Professor Pierson is a wonderful professor. I have never felt better about going to a class. He's teaching is very clear and follows along with the book. His tests are very fair giving out a study guide, the tests follow exactly what has been outlined.
