I was really looking forward to taking a course on Dostoevsky, having read most of the great novels. But Prof. Sloane, with seemingly no interest or enthusiasm for the subject, nor any plans for a coherent and structured lecture, actually made me less enthusiastic for Dostoevsky. No one in the class wanted to be there, including Sloane himself.

Ahh, He really is quite silly. I do find his class lacks a little direction, though his dancing is fun. He's very philosophical, but seems less willing to talk metaphorically about specifics.
