His class was super easy, but he talks a lot about things that don't matter and won't be on tests or anything. He gives out a ton of participation points just for showing up that end up being about half the points of the class. All the assignments are super easy and even the ones I didn't do, I got credit for!

Dr. Finley pushes us very hard, especially considering this is a one credit hour course. But I believe he does so because he has a lot of helpful information to convey in a relatively short period of time. So, if you truly want to learn to be a successful student, take ids 110 with Dr. Dean Finley, but expect a lot of work.

He is a really good quizes! Yeah there is a weekly quiz over the chapters in the book but that meant that the chapters werent on the final! I really really recommend this teacher. And you only have to do 1 essay that is 3 pages long! Other teachers give you one essay every week!

This class was interesting. Dr. Finley used some interesting methods to supplement his teaching, which I enjoyed because it wasn't the same structure that you get from every other class. I learned some critical thinking skills that I believe will be useful for quite some time.

He was nice and everything, but if you want to take an IDS class that isn't all work, then don't take him. He makes you do weekly quizes online, read all the chapters in the books, and has an extremely hard final. I don't know anyone who got better than a low B. Most still managed an A in the course.
