The BEST teacher by far, learned so much from his class and it was extremely easy to learn with him even the different bones in the body were made easy to remember. He explains things in such a way that it is really easy to follow! By far my favorite teacher and class EVER

This teacher is awesome! he makes learning fun because he also does hands on. You hold real bones from murdered victims and how to identify them by their bones. his presentations and drawings when he describes them kept your attention. he made you want to learn. His tests aren't bad but you do need to study because he rewords them on the tests.

By far one of the best Professors I have ever had. Very clear, and makes learning so much fun! Since he's worked in the field for over 20 years he has 20 years worth of photos and stroies to share and they are all great! If it seems easy its because you are enjoying it!!

Best professor I've had BY FAR. He made this class so easy to understand, I think if it were anyone else I'd be so lost. He inputs a lot of personal experiences and just really makes the class worth going to. Lots of fun projects as well such as the facial reconstruction.

One of the best professors I have EVER had! Before taking his class I had no interest in Anthropology. Now that we are almost done with the semester I am actually considering switching my major. He makes learning about forensics & physical anthropology so interesting that I never want to miss class! He is the best at making things clear to you.

One of the best professor I ever had. I never learned so much about a subject in college. I was not interested in this subject what so ever but once I started his class I fell in love with this subject. Most teacher at NVC make you study just plain old definition but Mr. Ryan explains everything in such a fun good way that you will actually learn.

Doug Ryan was a fantastic professor! He made everything so interesting and even threw in a few of his personal experiences! The only thing I would have liked is if the class were more challenging. I plan on going into Forensic Anthropology so I somewhat wished it were a harder class. SUPER satisfied though! :)

Doug was a great teacher I would HIGHLY reccomend him if you want to take any kind of Anthropology class. He thinks outside the box to make you learn this stuff not just memorize. Attendance is mandetory if you want an A but I promise you will WANT to go to his class. If you have an A you won't have to take the final.

Ryan's classes are always really fun. He is a really great teacher and a really great human being. There is rarely homework, tests are easy and classwork is always really fun (room excavations, drawing skeletons). There is also a gross out factor-- he will show you lots of creepy crawly things that will make your stomach churn. He is also cute.

Mr. Ryan is invaluable. His teaching method is exceptional and there is no such thing as a dull moment in his classroom. Mr. Ryan's classes are easy because he is a great teacher, not because the subject matter is easy. He is a friend and a mentor to everyone that enters his classroom. You will not find a better teacher!

Thee best professor i've had so far at vista. He is such an interesting guy and as a result so is his class! There are only two projects, he is very lenient with deadlines and absences, gives every opportunity for extra credit...there is no reason you should not get an A in this class even if you are not exactly interested in the subject.
